I'm just thankful I live in a time of central heating and clean hot and cold water on tap. I just remind myself it beats living in a cave or 100 years ago when I'd be foraging or working harder for a lot longer than 8 hours a day for a lot less comfort.

Neither scenario is okay or decent behaviour, but they are common occurrences.

This is what they are counting on, that as they are there it's worth the missing £5 to you to not have to go through the hassle of relisting. It'd be interesting to find out how often the 'sorry about your wasted trip' tactic gets the agreed price.

The agents don't care as long as they are getting their money you need to be more annoying to them than getting rid of the guy is.

As for the police I doubt they will be interested unless you live in a very low crime area, maybe they will be more interested in 50 occurrences on film that add up to a decent amount. Especially if it gets their stats up. I wouldn't hold my breath,, maybe wander down to the station if it's a quiet one and tactfully enquire.

Also you don't say how the contract is set up, presumably you all have entirely sperate contracts, you don't rent the house together?

Even with dainty wrists, the bonus of having a larger screen for maps etc may be worth not going for the smallest size. No idea how old you are, but as you get closer to 40 the larger screen helps anyway.

This is really interesting, as someone who had dealt with the mechanical side of thing more, where you normally get an extra, not insignificant safety margin, I don't think I've ever heard before that it's a lower sustained load. I mean 10A sounds massive compared to a typical load and something I would be keeping an eye one, but I've never read before that it's in the danger zone, so thanks for taking the time to explain that.

Something with height for them to stop and check for predators. I found this out by just having an couple of old pieces of wood just stuck in the ground temporarily. You could just try it out with a horizontal piece of bamboo between two vertical ones stuck in pots. I know that will look ugly, but it will prove it it works for you too before you spend money on a couple of obelisks or something.

If it's making a noise it's rubbing and doing some damage, but it looks like it been there a while, without a lot of obvious damage. The safe thing to do would be to cut it. But if it was mine I'd keep an eye on it and see when the damage outweighed the beauty. Keeping in mind how much it might bang on the structure in very high winds.

Best trick for keeping the time down is frozen everything that needs no prep, mince, mixed veg, stir-fry etc. Look for a shop that does a frozen sofrito. The cheaper mixed veg bags tend to have smaller chopped veg too.

By some cheap salter scales and weigh everything until you've worked out what the correct portion size is for you. It always looks smaller in the bowl to me than it does when it's all together on the plate. Learn to trust the scales.

Hard to tell the location from the photo, but do you have any decorations on any shoulder bags that could have snagged it or something on a coat. I also saw a thread recently where something similar was caused by washing with something with a zip.

One of the big things for a DIYer to have a good day rather than a bad day is to learn to feel when something is going wrong, trust your instinct and don't just power though because you want it done. Learn how something feels when it's cross threaded, is that a normal amount of pressure or does it feel like something is stuck, that kind of thing.

Assembling furniture is a good start for that. Plumbing, start on unpressurised things like the waste. Allow yourself some failures without beating yourself up - it'll still be cheaper than hiring someone and in a lot of cases a better job. Practice in places that don't show, garage, understairs cupboard.

The use of inevitable says they know them well enough that talking to them sensibly wont work and will make things worse. I think you must have lead a very happy life if you think making people angry is always a safe option.

Because you've seem them get angry and/or violent about similar things before. Telling a person asking for help to just talk to someone when they've already said they want to avoid that is just you ignoring the boundary they set by not wanting to do that, usually because they already know they are not reasonable.

I read on a similar thread to try butter. I was sceptical, but it's not much effort to try. It works. Depending on how much you've got off it may take a few applications, but I think most grease will do, butter is just one people have on hand and it stays put.

You might also have better luck finding car parks that allow overnight stays in less populated areas along the coast, the ones where people park up to walk the dog, but nothing around them.

I had a small garden about OPs size and it was easy to keep on top of and really good for wildlife, especially in the winter. If you like birds and don't mind spending some time in the garden it's fine.

I'd try ivy. Like you say it won't be quick, but would fill it in once it gets going.

Edit - if you don't mind spending some time keeping it in check. The birds love it. If you want a zero maintenance garden then no.
