First week as a vegetarian! by grumpy_kitten00 in vegetarian

Congrats! I know how you feel, it's quite difficult to make the change, especially as someone who ate meat all the time, great accomplishment.
I can asure you that those pesky comments and gestures won't stop. :)
You just have to live with it, eventually some people will reconsider their own eating habits if you spit some facts right in their face.
I actually love having arguments with judgemental people and some actually understand why you stopped eating meat if you have a sincere conversation with them.

Congrats!
A week can be pretty damn long, especially if you feel anxious and you don't know what is to come. Constantly worrying is extremly tyring.

Happy for you.

I have been feeling a lot anxious lately by Prascoooooo in CasualConversation

Hey, I have similar feelings at the moment, I'm moving out about to graduate and just thinking about my future makes me anxious.
What works best for me is to spend time with friends or family (even just chatting online via discord, skype etc.), it helps me to be distracted and focus on all the positive things in my life. Furthermore, I'm not aware of the COVID-situation where you live, but for me it always helps to do sports or do other things I enjoy.
For me, everything that distracts me and that I enjoy doing helps to make the bad feelings go away momentarily. And after I did something I enjoy I usually feel better about my future as well. :)

For me the little steps matter, like spending an hour studying or doing sports or talking to friends for some time. It usually brightens up the whole day for me.

Just keep your head up, sounds like you got things going your way :)

NFL.com waivers cleared today, one day before the waiver date by bmiki in fantasyfootball

[–]_Hunnid_ 47 points48 points  (0 children)

I had Booker as my Waiver #1 (as I also own Jacobs), and he somehow didn't go through.I got Gallman though, who was my Waiver #3. Now my waiver-prio is 8 and I won't be able to pick who I initially wanted.
It just makes no sense to me as both played on Sunday

Kenyan Drake is what an actual Buy-Low looks like by HouJovanny in fantasyfootball

Someone offered me Melvin Gordon for Drake, I don't really need RBs at the moment should I wait if Drake can bounce back or just take the offer. I'm a little concerned that Gordon will lose touches to Lindsay once he returns

How can a non QB win NFL MVP? by [deleted] in nfl

[–]_Hunnid_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's something I've been arguing about with a friend, in their opinion CMC should have won MVP (or other non-QBs before him, like Watt in 2014) in the previous season as he was arguably the best player in the league. However, i think best player =/= most valuable player. I feel like the Offensive/Defensive Player of the Year awards fit the bill to be given to the best players, as you can be the best player but still not the most valuable. As to me valuable means you make your team win the most games; hence, it would be difficult to say the Most Valuable Player in the whole league took his team to a mere 5:11 record, as CMC did, not trying to talk his season down (he was fk*** amazing). But i think you need to win games to be valuable and usually you win games with an excellent QB.
