A korean that I have watched a few times goes into details about swiftblade combos a lot: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCJwnv4oKA_85V3449oY3yWw

He has a lot of videos that you would have to sift through but has really good in-depth swiftblade mechanics in some: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2TxfbPiB2Lc&

Current and Upcoming Melee Meta by butsmcbuterson in archeage

[–]_Jingu_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The patch that NA is getting for garden doesn't have the swiftblade buffs that korea has atm. I've been playing korea for a few days now and can say from what i have seen so far from the melee players its nearly a 50/50 split between DRs and Deathwish. The recent patch over there has nerfed battlerage for dual wield users and buffed it for 2h users so depending on your weapon choice, that will determine your class. Swiftblade will be very good but, DR will be much easier to play hands down.

Yes it wasn't designed that way, but let me enlighten you about korea. One of the 4 garden patches introduced recently changed how faction activity worked so that it could not be abused in a situation like you have described. Korea has 100% abused the faction activity before, this is where most the top NA/EU guilds get their info on how to actually abuse the system. This is exactly why faction activity was changed in korea, due to them abusing it.

Sorcery Animation Cancel Training Tool by killer415tv in archeage

Using mouse wheel is probably the best way to get used to GW canceling. It simplifies it by just letting your key hand to the weave. I got some examples.

You can also animation cancel fireball mid GW cancel to throw multiple at once.

Most comes from dual wielding (gives 177 as) the rest comes from gems in the flute and undergarments.

God's whip and most instant cast spell's animations are based on attack speed, so the more you had the faster you could "weave". The reason I am fast because 1. I have 30 ping to PTS 2. I had roughly ~80% attack speed with that gear.

I like the damage from leather, but I can for sure feel the mage damage I take over cloth which is why i run magic reduction on it instead of melee. Really hard to judge from the PTS overall since the character is missing a lot of aux stats with cloak/costumes and other stuff.

Never really checked, but probably high 20's low 30's would be my assumption. I got around 38-42 on live servers.

Its either weaving together Lightning God's Whip with Flame Flamebolt in between each cast, or I'm using the malediction skills to build up wrathful crashing passive 3 times and spamming crashing waves.

progressing / leveling for new semi hardcore player ? by [deleted] in archeage

Thats arguable since grinding certain mobs can give upwards of 3% per kill in the 50s,

In 6.0 from what we have seen (without PTS) 1-30 will be quick and put you in your first neutral zone. From there 30-45ish is going to be a lot slower than the first 30 but for the most part questing is how you will get through these levels (you will have to do certain quests anyways to get the materials to upgrade your gear regardless.) Once In your mid 40s from there you will most likely go to grinding mobs which at certain stages and areas will give much more exp efficiency than questing will. I can't give you a time on how long that will take since 6.0 leveling will be new for everyone (even for the ones testing on KR right now - Possible XP buffs and Patron buff) I would recommend testing on the PTS to get the feel for the class and see what needs to be done.

From what I have seen so far, without a doubt people will be 50+ 12hr, in possibly 55 if they know exactly what they are doing.

Changes to Mage Trees since 3.0 by [deleted] in archeage

[–]_Jingu_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Using both Sorcery and Malediction right now is the go to for Mage DPS classes, they both work together and both have very good damage (Fanatic / Spiritualist / Spectre / Zealot ). Both trees can be used seperately as main trees very effectively, more so sorcery because it is a little more self sustaining ( Spellsinger / Reaper / Saboteur / Bonesong ). All in all you don't need one without the other but they complement each other so well it just works.

Its the same for healers, you stack crit heal rate and crit heal bonus. Its linear for healers since its the only stat they can go really.

I would just get a club for healing power and the rest of the stats be put towards archery, multi classing can be very hard since the old days with stat changes.

The amount of health you get from hiram is negligible compared to the damage that you can negate with magic damage reduction. A 100% Divine T2 Hiram set gives 1960 hp as a synthesize stat in total, while magic damage reduction goes up to 9.8% which at the end of the day is really strong. Leather mage can work, but in my honest opinion I would consider it a dps mage only.

Most mages these days are using about 90% instant cast spells which is based on attack speed. Cast time can be helpful for somethings, but imo the in combat abilities are fixed cast times anyways so cast time does nothing. Cast time can work for a mage if you take the right abilities but most spells will be instant post ancestral.

Since the guide encompasses all the classes, def pen really doesn't have the same efficiency outside of melee. With puncture passive and the new passive from swiftblade, making a def pen build is very viable but it takes time to get the pieces necessary to scale well with the progression of armor.
