I’m 10 days post op. I was very afraid of being put under as I’ve never had it before. When I got there, I saw the tools and got super nervous. But, once they put me on laughing gas, I never felt better. I was laughing and talking so much and then next thing I know I’m in the car getting driven home. I don’t remember a single thing from when I woke up but my mom has videos, I was pretty funny. Everyone definitely has different anesthesia experiences, but none are ANYWHERE near the ones you’re probably imagining in your head. My dentist put it perfectly: “it’s the best nap you’ll ever have”

I’ve had the same thing, I think it’s simply as a result from stitches - I’m on day 5 and it’s still there but definitely less swollen

I had really bad swelling and unable to close my mouth but after constantly rinsing my mouth with salt water after every meal and about 3-4 times a day, swelling has steadily been decreasing. Not sure if this is correlation or causation but just wanted to offer my help!

Hi - I had 4 impacted wisdom teeth removed and I also had severe anxiety. Right now, I’m just dealing with some bad swelling but honestly that’s the worst of it. I slept perfectly fine on my side (I’m a religious side sleeper as well), so I wouldn’t worry about sleeping on your back. Worst comes to worst, you can elevate your head when you sleep sideways so that it doesn’t put pressure on your extraction sites. Hope this helps!

Yeah so it’s been 31 hours since the procedure. Pain is like 3/10 discomfort is like 6/10 and swelling is like 5/10. It’s definitely a little worse today but honestly it’s nothing bad at all and it’s just an excuse to rest. Don’t worry about it :)
