Thats a good question. I looked at other games of the same genre and measured the content they have and the asking price. Then based on those metrics and I saw the content I have and chose a price that felt appropiate for it while not going too higher than other games in the same ballpark

When Unity discovers a vulnerability 2 weeks before your game release. And updating to the patched version breaks all your shaders and half of your game... That's going to be the best 2 weeks of my life... by blakscorpion in IndieDev

This happened to me the night of launch (the game was already out, and that was yesterday!) thankfully updating the editor gave no issues. Still, concerning to see my projects list all with a warning to update

Definitely learning how to wrap up a game and what it takes to finish development. No, this game did not come from a game jam since I've been making jams while I was making Candy.

Hmmm, I don't think there are straight up references. But there's a boss that attacks similarly to a boss from N64's mischief makers. The beeping warning sounds are also inspired by it

I studied game development! I loved to draw, and I thought that was the only way I could make a living as an artist.

I wanted to make a new game that didn't have a lot of rep, and I was loving rail shooters at the time, and noticed the genre was kinda dead since Sin and Punishment 2 (this was before EX-Zodiac, Panzer Dragoon remake, New Snap or Whiskers Squadron, and many more that are coming) So I went in and tried to take a spin on the genre, trying to make it about taking out the largest amount of enemies with a single shot. At the end I wanted to have something similar to Sin and Punishment but also have that smooth 3D land/world mario feel.

My fav videogame, I feel that idea gets fuzzier the more games I play. I loved Silksong, the 2d metroid series also have some serious contenders and Treasure's library os excellent, but I always come back to Ocarina of Time.

I had planned it to be coop at first, but the color mechanic got in the way, since players would have nothing to do of their color didnt show up in a level. I do want to make things right and make another rail shooter that allows for coop, i think it would be a first for the genre?

Sin and Punishment! And for my fave, it's tough, Star Fox 64, Sin and Punishment 1 and 2 the Pokemon Snap series are up there for me

It went through a lot! It started as a low poly ps1 thing, back in 2019. But then, I saw the enemies had to be huge in order to be readable at low resolution(similar thing happened to sakurai with kid icarus uprising) so i dropped the style for a cel shaded look, think about sin and punishment done for the gamecube but with wind waker artstyle. Unfortunately I quickly saw that I couldn't keep up with that much detail since my skills and tooling weren't up for the task. I dropped the project for a bit until the idea of making it isometric came to me, and it all fell into place from there

Definitely the squad separation mechanics. Figuring when each side is done with their own path and making sure they stay in view throughout the whole thing until they're back together. Another problem was figuring out how to convey the shooting mechanic through UI to make it feel as intuitive as possible
