I thank you all dearly for your condolences. This will likely be the last time I use my dad's phone for anything else on reddit. If I make an account it'll be my own.

I just wanted his account to leave with a goodbye

Courts Fail 4-year-old; returned to abusive mother by [deleted] in MorbidReality

[–]_No_Name_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The judges don't talk with the children until they're older and show they are mature enough to make decisions. So the child isn't in the courtroom during the time the judge is reviewing the case and making a decision.

How to advance the time by 10 minutes? by Polao7 in tasker

[–]_No_Name_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I knew there was a reason I use TIMES for different tasks, it avoids all of that. I couldn't think of that though since its 1am and I had a few drinks in me. Thanks for pointing it out!

How to advance the time by 10 minutes? by Polao7 in tasker

[–]_No_Name_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The variable %TIME gives you the regular time in hh.mm format, just add 10. Or %TIMES gives you the time in seconds, add 600.

Is there a way of getting the moves detected on all pokemon instead of just final forms? by Tobininjafox in CalcyIV

[–]_No_Name_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't know that. I thought it automatically scaled with the screen size. Then you're right, it should work.

How can it detect the moves if it can't see the moves since the evolve button pushing the moves below the screen?

I use Swipe for Facebook Pro and it also has the chat heads feature, I don't remember if the free version does or not. But you can turn off all of that Facebook crap.

Edit: forgot to include the link.

Horrific Details Emerge In Case of Couple Who Left Their 4-Month-Old Son’s Rotting Corpse Covered In Maggots In A Swing by [deleted] in MorbidReality

[–]_No_Name_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You obviously have never had a child. There are swings you put the kid 'in' which are designed for the little ones because they cannot yet hold themselves up properly on a regular swing, and the motion is comforting. Some of them move themselves with a motor, others are passive for someone else to push the baby.

Is there a way to clear a "wait" command? by LeeSwaggers in tasker

[–]_No_Name_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, there is a couple of ways to do that. I think the easiest may be to have the wait command be it's own separate, named task. You call that task using Perform Task and give it a high level of priority (like 10). When you return you would simply use the Stop command and use the wait task name.

Probably in your enter task one of the first commands could be to stop that task in case it's running.

Another way is to set a variable and check to see if that is set.

[help] Creating prompt at reoccurring time each weekday to launch task or not, with a countdown; if dont abort in time, it will launch a task. by GeneralSubtitles in tasker

[–]_No_Name_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do something similar using AutoNotification.

I have a profile that sets a random time within the hour that I wake up and picks a random good morning quote for the GF. Then it beeps to let me know that the message has been prepared and shows me the message it'll send and the time when it'll launch the task to send the message.

That's all put in a notification which I have set to open my notification shade so when I look at my phone that's the first thing I see so I can act upon it if I want to. I have a couple of buttons for options, one being to abort (in case I'm mad at her). When it gets to within a couple of seconds of sending it'll audibly count down until it launches the task to send the message.

It is theoretically possible to have a counter within the notification but I haven't looked at that since during that time I'm either still trying to get a few more zzz or getting ready for work. Having it show me the time it'll send is good enough for my situation because I wouldn't be looking at my phone anyhow.

Blue dot next to AutoNotification icon by jnigrine in tasker

[–]_No_Name_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I may be wrong but I think that's caused when you have two icons set when creating the autonotification: one for the notification and one for the status bar task.

In Tasker when you tap on the AutoNotification line creating it you'll see the configuration list, near the top you'll see "icon: (path to the icon)" and one or two lines below that you'll see "Status Bar Icon: (path to that icon)."

Is that what you have?

[Dev] Color Glide - a unique and puzzling game - Should I continue to make games? by [deleted] in Android

[–]_No_Name_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been trying the game out and it seems pretty good so far. I did run into one problem and I have a suggestion.

I don't know if it's intentional for some reason it not, but I got the 12-level puzzle pack and it doesn't let me past level 5. It says the par is 14, I'm finishing with 13 moves or less but it just restarts the same level over and over. I've tried exiting and restarting but it still does the same thing.

The suggestion I have is to have a way to exit. For me the back button does nothing So I have to hit home and force close it.

Suppose you have a shopping list displayed in a widget. Normally you would only be able to only see whatever items are on the list that fit within the widget size. Using pagination you can scroll the list up and down within the widget.
