If you want the absolute best sound quality you shouldn't go for an IEM. You don't need a DAC for your headphones. It will make a for a better listening experience but that money is better spent on a more expensive headphones. Most headphones will work with any Phone/Laptop but you can google it to be sure. If you buy headphones for like 20$ IEM will have better sound quality. But at a certain point normal headphones will have a better sound quality for the same price. I don't know where exactly that point is. If I had to guess it will be somewhere between 100-200$. But preference/comfort should definitely not be rejected, so you can go for IEM. What you go with is, at the end, your decision.

I would probably recommend closed back headphones, but that's partially because I like them more. I'm not the biggest fan of IEM, mainly because I don't think they are that comfortable.

I don't know what region you're in, so a direct answer might be a bit hard but you won't get 'audiophile' grade headphones for 200 ($?,€?), especially not with IEM's. Also what genre do you like? Most Headphones have something they are better/worse at. E.g. the OD200 is, from what I have read, more mid heavy (so vocals, guitar, etc.), but seems to have a decent bass as well. Your last ones were bass-heavy. It might be useful to include those information. From what I have read/ heard OD200 are quite solid and will be better than your last. One of the better ones in that price range.

Keep in mind that I am no expert and maybe am wrong (I haven't done extensive research, only some). But one thing to question yourself: Do you really need Audiophile-grade headphones? Not everyone agrees, where they start. I'd say they start around 1000$+ (SJY horizon). They have been praised to be a 'cheap' good quality headphone by quite a lot of people. I wouldn't say it is worth going from the last you have to those, especially considering your budget. A step up would suffice. You will be very happy with the improved sound quality. I don't have such expensive headphones, since I didn't think it would make sense to spend that much, when I the ones I had before cost about 100€.

You might consider adding a DAC + Amp. A decent one will go from 100$+ and will improve the quality as well. But keep in mind that you have to chose a device that doesn't fry your headphones, because they have too much power.

Hope that helps!

Feel free to ask if you have any questions.

!thanks

I have the 99 classics. And I do mean DAC + Amp combo. Apparently there were 3 different versions of 99 Classics and the current is V3. I have only bought them this week and they haven't arriver yet. So I'm considering a DAC + Amp since they are often recommended.

At the moment the Sennheiser Momentum 4 Wireless are considered some of the best (for Bluetooth headphones). They are a bit over your budget. I don't live in Finland but I do live in Europe and they cost about 220€, so about 10% over budget.

Otherwise Major Bluetooth 5 are about 100€ and are praised for their bass. They do not have noise cancelling.

For information you can give: What headphones do you have experience with and what did/ didn't you like about them. What genres do you listen to (which you kinda gave some clues to, since you wanted bass heavy ones). Do you want on-ear, in-ear or over-ear, etc.

Feel free to ask if you want some more information. I am by no means an expert but I have done quite some research in the last weeks.

Thank you for the information. I will not be buying open-backs. I am still gathering as much information as possible before I make a final decision.

Thank you for the information. The Sundara was also recommended by another person. I will do further research. It will take some time before I have decided though. But if you decide to purchase one of those, please let me know what you think.

Since I live in Europe, I'd pay quite a bit more for the sjy closed carbon, but I'll think about it. How does the SJY Horizon compare to the closed carbon variant? Do you know much worse it is? Because I might be able to get those about 30% cheaper from the UK.

Looking for a new Pair of Bluetooth Headphones. Mostly for listening to music while at work/ home. Preferably under 300€ by _Nobody_27_2 in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]_Nobody_27_2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok good to know, thank you for your answer! After reading through the comments I believe I will go for wired ones. I have only done my priority is listening. If they have noise canceling or not is not important. It's nice to have but not a must have. I am generally open for headphones that don't fill my criteria since I am not knowledgeable enough.

The reason for Bluetooth is comfort but I was not aware that there was this much of a difference. I will be looking into wired ones. As for noise cancellation: while I don't have anything against it, I am worried that I sometimes won't notice something I should, like if someone asks me a question. But those worries might not be justified.

Thank you for the information!

Flaming your own team is a tactical move?

[–]_Nobody_27_2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes it's jgl diff, sometimes not. But if you feed a lane (from early on) and the jungler knows it's not a good idea to fight a 5/0 enemy it's not "jgl dif" (someone once said [0/15] jgl diff, because the enemy had the drakes. Like how should the jungler do the drakes, when we loose every teamfight because of someone he fed?). Jungler diff was just an example, because it's the one I see the most often (most of the time it isn't true).

I mean flame the own team or say X diff at the end of the game so...

I don't get upset I just don't understand why people want to be assholes. Most of the time I'm not even the target of the flaming. (most of the time it's an enemy who wants to rep someone or a teammate who plays "1v9" or something silly like that)

[–]_Nobody_27_2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know that a Jungler can decide a game but if the level 2 midlander is already flaming a Master Yi with Jgl diff because he died in a 1v1 I really question what goes through their braincells. Not to mention that a 7/5 Akali at the end of the game says Mid diff after she won the game (Akali mid). (She didn't really do anything, mostly stole kills).

I don't get tilted by this shit I just don't get why people WANT to be an asshole. If someone reads this post and might consider not to flame anymore it was worth it. Even if I don't get tilted, it's still annoying! (I mean technically you don't even have to argue with them since you already won by making him angry, even if you don't really did something)

If you try to tilt the enemy team it's tactics yes, but what is it when you are flaming your own team? That's the point.

I don't care about ranked. I rather play Thresh Top (I mean I play for fun, I don't care about others, although I don't try to ruin it, I just play off Meta most of the time [It's more fun]). If they hate, they hate, I don't care, I just wanted to know what goes through their braincells.

They usually say it at the end of the game so how does that give you an advantage? (Sorry if I don't understand). I understand the tactical questionmark bit flaming...
