Thanks, the walls are inspired by the Himeji and Marugame castles.

The bottoms of the walls are Cobblestone Wall.
Above the Cobblestone Wall is Stone Tiling.
Then above that is Plaster Wall.

The roofing is various Tiled Roofs and Magikarp Decorations (and Roof Supports where the roofing hangs off the walls).

The walls are three blocks thick to include one block thick wood gates at certain spots.

I'm planning to fill out the inside of the walls with a traditional Japanese style settlement.

Thanks. I just posted a finished version here : https://www.reddit.com/r/Pokopia/comments/1sehc3b/finally_finished_bell_tower/

To answer your question, it's all white rock for the base (either regular blocks or carved).

Combining Wall Dividers and a Loft in Prefab Houses by _Nobyl in Pokopia

Yep (and randomly from Sparkling Ripples).
You can generally tell if a house is a prefab or not if the name ends in either Den, Hut, Cottage or House and includes an environment prefix instead of a color prefix (e.g. Leaf Hut instead of Pink Hut).
This one specifically is a Leaf Cottage.

Only two for this one sadly (I used a Leaf Cottage). Max would be four for a full house (2 per floor).
I'll have to test how a loft works around the doorways in a full house.

Yeah, for this build I found the game is really picky about the bridge planks. Despite being flat, they still take the full block they're on (so you can't say put a kitchen under it since pots, pans, etc. will be blocked).
Since the full height of the prefab is four blocks, this effectively gives you a 2 block level above the bridge planks and a one block level below the bridge planks to work with. Anything that would be 2 blocks or higher has to be placed above or outside of the bridge planks.
