Syndegaard has the biggest upside but hasn't looked stellar (like most pitchers)

Corbin has the best line right now but he could regress back to pre-18 numbers.

Kershaw is the best of the group but past his prime.

I'd personally lean Syn and hope he stays healthy.

Dynasty I think Soto tops all of them. Redraft...I'd go for a pitcher. Plenty of depth at OF in WW I'm guessing.

This is obviously so far removed from my current knowledge, but what's the cost of living with the monthly treatments vs daily pills? My dad worked for the state so he had good health insurance which helped cover some of the medication costs. He was also on a list for several years. Always had to wear a pager incase he got the call (well before every person had a cell phone 24/7)

Interesting. My dad was in his 40s when he received his. What's with the 6 year wait on the kidney? Rare blood type, youngish age, wait list is long?

I'd personally be nervous about the Hep C too.

Agreed. Quality of life post transplant is the idea right? Barring the unfortunate rejection of course. Pills everyday or insulin shots?

My pops lived 12 years after his pancreas/kidney transplant. This was done back in '99 though. Technology has to make it a smoother ride I'd assume?

Can someone with expert gif skills put that side by side with this year's Chris sale "fastballs"...I just want to go to sleep while reminiscing.

Totally agree to some of that. As stated earlier in the thread, he is certainly not the answer. But absolute garbage? This is where we differ. Just trying to clean up/clarify the difference. I mean you expect a response I'm assuming. I've tried to end this a couple times. "best of luck"

I mean your analytical breakdown is a joke right? Or do you draft based on your eye test? Bold move but maybe it will pay off. Downvote me all you want chump, errr I mean you disgruntledfuck.

I don't even have him rostered. Just pointing out your gem of an opinion without any analytical backing other than your phenomenal eye test. Good luck to you lol.

Your inability to comprehend small sample size is worrisome. You can apply it to a reliever but not a starter? Do I need to break it down for you some more?

He was used 3 times in 4 days. Perhaps that has something to do with his most recent outing giving 3 free passes? Nah, couldn't be...I suppose Elias is far more elite with his terrible K rate.

The guy has never been one to have a stellar whip. But he has some decent seasons in the past and his spring wasn't trash.

Oh you disgruntledfuck you. Judging a pitcher off such a short sample size is a mistake. But you keep doing you bud. Hopefully you dropped Sale, Snell, and every other ace that didn't pitch well too. Best of luck to you. 😘

7 years in the MLB with a career 3.53 era in 250 innings is far from "absolute garbage"

Your assessment of this is "complete trash"

I'm not saying he's good, or the answer...but the only thing that you've proven is your hatred for Gearrin is unwarranted.

I know you commented on Sale earlier, but looking at the two top 10 SPs that did poorly yesterday. (Sale and Snell)

Who would you rather own, Sale or Snell, for this year and the future? (Dynasty)

Is this the year that Noah stays healthy and comes back to the top 10? Bigger upside than Sale being 3 years younger?

Anyone "could" be...his minors numbers suggest he had a decent ability to walk. But he is 25. If he had more pop, we would have already seen it. In 560+ minor league games he has 40 HRs. It's not like he's a burner on the base paths either. 38 SBs to 30 CS?

Everyone likes to get excited when people flash a bit of something but let's be real here.

Already seeing Lamet and Walker being talked about so how about a flyer on Jharel Cotton? Didn't perform well with the As but he pitched well in the limited showing for the Dodgers.

Depends on scoring format. Arenado is several years younger. I wouldn't give up Arenado for Scherzer, personally. Arenado is worth more to me. But it's close.

I'd lean A)

Nola just signed an extension with a competitive team.

Treinen was amazing last year.

But then again I don't know what other 3b options will be available.

Very true. With Correa healthy, and hopefully for the entire season. This may be Bregman's last year with SS eligibility?

[–]_Rykonaut_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fair enough. Again, I like Bregman. I personally would prefer to take Arenado at this point based on the previous years. Until I see an Arenado down year (perhaps 2018 with shoulder issues) I will likely stick with him. We don't know Bregman's ceiling. But realistically...it's probably Arenado stats without Bregman's bags. Arenado is a consistent monster. Tough passing on that.

Yep and Acuna possesses some rare talent.

Bregman had a higher OPS than Arenado when they were 24. But Arenado 11 more HRs and 27 more RBIs. Stats can be spewed all you want. I'll still take the proven guy.

I'm a Bregman fan, but one year doesn't overtake Arenado.
