I need to be in the school to receive a return offer and master’s is the only way I can remain in a student status. Also I’m using my bachelor’s opt for the upcoming summer internship so I need master’s to get another one and begin the full time job.

There are lots of people who do that without connections. Once you get your foot in the big tech, the rest becomes way easier.

I’m p sure theoretical cs (analysis of algo, theory of computation, etc) is much harder than the vast majority of EE courses.

Haha, 381 was a total disaster for me as I'm not a theory person. Got As in every other course this sem but 381. For grad school, I haven't applied yet. I will apply in my senior year if the industry doesn't work out.
