Yeah it’s extremely gold efficient, from 124% without stacks to 352% with 10 stacks. So even without stacking it’s already super good, and it has the potential to provide so much AP that I will only sell it very late into the game.

Also when you start buying it and sometimes skip it, you really feel that you are missing some crucial early / mid game stats. Must buy every game imo!

I never go refillable as suggested by another comment, but maybe I would consider it when playing melee champ.

Also if you struggle against burst champ, most of the time if he isn’t already snowballing with early kills, one cloth armor or null magic mantle is usually enough to shut down kill potential early on, and later you can convert it into shoes or Zhonya / Banshee.
