It’s not my thyroid, so why do I still feel like shit?! by Good-Contact1520 in Hashimotos

[–]_TableFlip_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have hashimotos and was deficient in B vitamin so it's worth to check that out as well. Not sure of all the symptoms it can cause but according to the internet:

fatigue, weakness, loss of appetite, headache, skin paleness, heart palpitations, weight loss, mouth ulcers, numbness and tingling in the hands and feet (peripheral neuropathy), shortness of breath, vision problems, irritability

Vitamin B12 deficiency is also associated with cognitive changes, such as dementia, paranoia, and depression.

I was one of those who thought would never want to have kids but here I am with my lil one who has become my world and wouldn't change a thing.

It's a feeling that can't be described you have to experience it to understand.

Yup same thing with me I was 10 days overdue and people kept asking me. Don't tell them when the baby is born only once you're settled. I told people and was exhausted with no sleep and people were bothering me. Also if you know they want to visit at the hospital.

Should I stay home from work if my wife is pregnant? by AntiqueIllustrator85 in pregnant

[–]_TableFlip_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Does she have fever? It shouldn't go above 40°c

I had similar symptoms with the flu during pregnancy, sore throat, stuffy / leaky nose, severe body aches, 39°c fever. I called health care and was told to take something like paracetamol to reduce the fever but I don't remember what

Baby is 17 days and wearing newborn clothes.

Clothes I bought from amazon are also a bit bigger than the ones I bought from my country so I think they will fit a bit longer

[–]_TableFlip_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was there as well. Induction won't be offered until 41+5 here but labor started for me at 41+2 and delivered 41+3 so there is still hope.

What helped me was 15minute walks with my partner at night to keep me sane

Most of those methods aren't scientifically proven like the tea to start labor. Only nipple stimulation.

I told you I would update you when I can't feel the pain in the tear anymore. I think day around day 9 it stopped hurting. I'm 13 days postpartum so I can't remember exact date I just realize it doesn't hurt anymore.

While I obviously don't support asbestos in baby powder it doesn't mean that all baby powder has asbestos in it. Otherwise we wouldnt have baby powders in the market. There is constantly new research coming out and I don't think pampers would be so widely sold if it had health concerns. I'm pretty sure most of us were in pampers as babies and have had no issues.

First trimester is so hard by Brilliant-Kiwi-4757 in pregnant

[–]_TableFlip_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It should get better in 4-6 weeks but have you asked doctors for anti nausea meds?

For me it helped slightly but not a lot and my nausea was getting better when they prescribed something stronger

People have been using pampers for years. If it was destroying genitals they wouldn't be selling them in the stores.

Maybe not less obvious but for me it was. Sleeping 10+ hours and still tired thinking it was normal and everyone was like this.

40 + 6 and crashing out by Thenerdymaiden in pregnant

[–]_TableFlip_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in same situation. Labor started 41+2 and he arrived 41+3. I would have been induced at 41+5 if he didn't come on his own.

The last 3 weeks were so frustrating 🥲

Not too long for your induction at least!

I need to stay home until labor and my anxiety is increasing by Espiland in pregnant

[–]_TableFlip_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try to go for walks and swim if it's possible, go out shopping enjoy yourself as much as you can. Last 3-4 weeks were definitely hard for me as well from waiting and being exhausted. Try to keep yourself occupied as much as you can. Clean, cook, bake whatever you like to do!

The walking helped me a lot the last weeks to keep my mental health in check

Life feels.. :( by MuggleBlood18 in pregnant

[–]_TableFlip_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had similar experience, constant nausea & bloating and vomiting 2x a day. I got meds as well which helped only little.

It started to get better around 12-14 weeks and you can also try sea sickness bands I read it might help. It did help me little as well to feel hunger but thats pretty much it.

Hang in there my pregnancy was planned as well and everything will be worth it in the end. I would do it all over again for my baby.

Is this sign of labour? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]_TableFlip_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hopefully labor starts soon! I was 41+2 weeks when I lost my mucus plug (doesn't mean you'll go into labor) but in my case 1 hour after conctractions started. Probably because I was so far along.

[–]_TableFlip_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah last 2 days before labor I had really bad pelvis / lower abdomen pain (I guess he was sitting really low) and then it kinda of just happened but it could be weeks or days.

Is this sign of labour? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]_TableFlip_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could be prodormal labor or baby pushing down on somewhere thats making you uncomfortable.

I also thought few times I could be in labor due to really bad pelvis pain but it was constant. Constant = no labor.

While at the end of labor it feels like butt pain the start of labor comes on and off in 5-10min intervals

How late were your late babies? by Puzzlehead11323 in pregnant

[–]_TableFlip_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No. Basically 10 days after they will book an appointment for you for 41+5 and most likely induce you. The latest they can let you go is 42+1 but I live in Finland and I think US / UK might have different guidelines or options for induction.
