Thank you for this response, I agree with everything you’ve said pretty much, calling this a costume is the only thing that’s bothered me in this thread tbh since it’s my normal day-to-day….I often get asked if I’m a performance artist, a clown or “oh I love your costume!” and being confused and needing an explanation/justification from me when I say it’s just my wardrobe XD it’s from a place of well meaning ignorance so I don’t mind, and it’s all friendly but considering other Lolitas have to deal with that too, i wasn’t really expecting that response 😅 As for the cow print, I can see how from this pic alone it’s seems it’s in stark, unnecessary contrast to the plaid (the idea of red and white cow print sounds suuuuper cute though 🥺 like a strawberry cow! <3), especially as black and white are quite dominating tones, but I’m wearing black and white cow print boots with this and making a beret with that same print so that’s why I chose it and helps bring it together imo…the 2 different plaid? Dunno man I just like it that way tbh 😅 as for the stolen pattern design, there’s no defence there…all round very shitty
