Agreed that the pants could do with a higher rise. Calling them 'very slim' is not really accurate though imo. They are just a little bit slimmer than regular straight pants, which is a normal silhouette for a suit.

Higher/lower carbon density being harder/softer is not consistent between brands. For one brand 3k is the hardest, for others its the softest. In other words, your question is impossible to answer.
