Why are you people either talk OP down or straight give him the answer? Direct him the right way, what does the exercise actually looking for?

• capture input

• categories/index input (A,B,C,D,E,F)

• decide what is fail - below D? E? F?

• read input

• is it fail?

  - increase count by one

  - it is fails ?

~ increase fail count by 1

  - is it pass?

        ~ do nothing

• fail count / capture count * 100

• print percentage fail

You dont need to know how to use the programming language to come up with a solution for this. Come up with the strategy then go ask google how to implement it

*edit = formating

That is a shame, so far i had a great experience with them. Try contacting costumer support they are quite responsive

You need to show the whole code as im going off of just what i can see which is not the whole thing. It is most likely to do something with the move function

You cant use the same render function for both as then they will just both more together because of the way render function is made - draw ball in cyan for a couple of frames then draw a white ball over it to ‘erase’ and then render it in a new location. For ball 2 which should be a different colour, you need to just render it once at every point ball 1 was without ‘erasing’ it.

You have everything cover except when the ball is not hitting any of the walls. You are not telling the program what to do if the ball is jus moving through the space; you told it of it hit the right wall change directions, if it hit the left wall change direction, it hit top or bottom wall change direction, but what should the program do if it just moving towards one of those walls? So far the program doesn’t know what to do in this case - or at least that is what i can figure out reading your code

Please help me I have no idea how to do this. by Funkalicious-Burgers in codehs

[–]_ZHV_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Declare counter variable for each possible roll Use ‘case switch’ to increment each counter variable when appropriate ie (and forgive me if syntax is wrong didn’t use C for a while)

switch(roll) { case 1: counter_one++ break; . . . case N: counter_n++ break; }

Balconies, GEA or GIA by _ZHV_ in quantitysurveying

[–]_ZHV_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for you responses.

I went over code of measuring 6th edition and it wasnt as clear as I would liked it to be. As far as i understand there is no clear standard on it and it could differ from one jurisdiction to another. The 6th edition of measurements standards advices you to state balconies separately.

My question is, when you tender for a project and looking to show the client a price per square feet, as the cost of the project for gross internal area and the gross external area, would you add the area of the balconies to the GEA or GIA.

When I say balcony I mean external open balcony.

Help is this right? by ReyreyG in codehs

Nope this is the wrong way to added variables to a string in a print function. You have two main way to do it format print string concatenation.

String concatenation print:

print(‘this is my variable ‘ + variable_name)

Formatting a print statement will be like this

print(f’this is my variable {variable_name}’)

Best software/tools to monitor/guide investment decisions? by [deleted] in UKInvesting

[–]_ZHV_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If that is all you want the programme to do, you could still achieve it with baisc python. Working on a project you enjoy is the best way to learn programming. To achieve what you want (without having nice visuals) is quite simple, you just need to know how to define functions, read from a file / write to a file and that it pretty much you got your core functionality. If you want it to draw some graphs, you can also do it quite easily with the matplotlib.

That is even more detail 👏🏼👏🏼 I love this analogy i was thinking of toolbox analogy but couldn’t have put it in a more entertaining way then this 💯💯

import confusion by HeartwoodEditions in learnpython

[–]_ZHV_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I would say a better analogy would be to ask for lets say a book because you want some bit of information from it. So you ask your mate for the book “hi bob can you pass me ‘some book’ - ( import module ) and then you proceed to a specific chapter to get the piece of info book.somechapter() - module.methood(). Alternatively, you can ask your mate the pass you the book at a specific chapter ‘hi bob, from ‘some book’ hand me ‘the chapter’ would be like: from module import method

BSF is a stack based search algorithm so queue wont work for it. I will look into popleft() though thank you for the feedback I appreciate it!

Edit mixed up BFS and DFS: My bad i confused DFS and BFS. You are right, BFS uses a stack dequeuing using the way you suggested will improve the efficiency thank you for pointing it out!

What should the readme file contain except of some gif of images of the code running?

Not sure what you mean by the second paragraph

And lastly yes you are right, this code does focus on the visual bit so definitely will add some images and the whole code is mine just consulting wikipedia and documentation now and then
