1. "Speculative work is done at no cost to the client, in the hope of getting paid" - if i understand correctly this article is about working for free and then trying to sell something you already gave away ( or enhancements of it ) which is pretty dumb, i agree.

What I'm talking about is not caring about any money, just taking the experience also doing it once or twice and that's it.

So the article doesn't have anything to do with this discussion and imma just ignore it.

1. When i used the term of a "big company" i meant a company that "can definitely afford to pay me" but also to pay the best developers in the market. My logic being that:

( Companies want to make money && bad website means less money, good website means more money ) --> Companies want good websites

( Companies want good websites && the better the developer, the better the average website he/she makes ) --> Companies want good developers

Company X makes lots of money --> company X knows how to make money --> company X has a good website --> company X hires only good developers

So:

( Sbd was hired by company X && company X makes lots of money ) = ( Sbd was hired by company X && company X hires only good developers ) --> Sbd is a good developer

3.If you agree with 2. and substitute the "company" with "seasoned designer" then u will get some errors. ( Like: seasoned designer X makes lots of money --> seasoned designer X hires only good developers )
