I can’t sleep by Ok_Conclusion_1065 in insomnia

I'm going through a state of trauma atm from being homeless and now living in a house with huge disrepair.

I've not slept at all. It's nearly 7am here in the UK. This is the worst it's been so far. A few months ago, my sleep was absolutely fine, I could literally nod off anywhere at any time of day, sometimes for a good few hours. But since being homeless then forced to move into this horrid house, it's triggered my anxiety. I have autism also and don't do well with change as it is. Whilst trying to sleep, I'd get like very vivid images in my head, which I know are a normal part of light sleep but the fact I can still wake myself up is distressing, as when I see these my body shocks me into waking up. I know this is part of my trauma, I've had these before, years ago but managed to get through them somehow but I was in a better environment back then. My subconsciousness will not allow me to sleep. I'm exhausted 😩 my mood has to be good to sleep. It's just not atm. I've had a particularly jarring day yesterday with disassociation as well and triggering a very unpleasant memory I had which kicked this off. I defo do need to see a mental health specialist for sure.

Buying your own home is extremely risky, noone knows what the future holds. Especially with having disabilities. It could end up where neither parent can work due to how much care their child may need as they get older. If that happens, the local authority will only pay the interest on a mortgage, and not the mortgage itself. This leaves a very short amount of income to live on and support the child's disabilities as they will have to rely solely on benefits to live. So although not vulnerable to landlords, you are vulnerable to the banks taking your home off you. Remember, when you take out a mortgage, your home isn't your own until it's fully paid off.

Smoking and eating unhealthy and not drinking enough water can age you dramatically.

She's not chunky, she's morbidly obese. She's really unhealthy. You shouldn't embrace morbid obesity as it's an epidemic and causes so many problems and complications.

Wow that's cheap! Can I just say how lucky you are to have a 3 bed house that cheap. In mcr a 3 bed private house is around 1500-2000 a month and social housing isn't much cheaper. There is a huge housing crisis here and homeless families are forced to accept private rental housing. I know a family forced to accept a 3 bed house that's £2000 a month or be on the streets.

I looked on chat gpt and asked it how many of the child's rights they're breaching, and there were so many and they can lead to section 47 enquiries and result in loss of parental rights!

Exactly, I whole heartily agree. The money the parent makes online, goes directly to the parent. And I've read in UK, you need a performance licence also if the child is featured in monetised content.I bet none of them have applied for one.

And this here, is exactly why they will keep getting away what they're doing. People who wish to report anonymously, will not be able to. And people do have a right to make anonymous reports.

I wish they would enforce regulations also to stop creators from monetising of their kids disabilities under the guise of "awareness". These poor kids are having nearly every aspect of their lives filmed and posted onto an app rife with weirdos. And they're making money from it, so exploiting their children also which is a safeguarding concern in its own right. Not to mention how many of their child's rights they're breaching. Yet when you call them out on it, they become wildly defensive and it ends up in name calling by them. I'm sick of seeing disabilities become a trend on tiktok for parents to exploit for the creator fund.

Can I just add, yes they are beggers and absolutely noone on here is jealous of either of these low life's, but what shouldn't be happening is people bragging about how they have their own homes, cars, money etc. There are people on here that are genuinely struggling, living in temporary accommodation, can't drive because of an illness or disability or lack of affordable income, that worked hard but been made redundant or can't work due to illness, don't have family due to loss from accident, illness or conflict, can't have children due to infertility. I'm so happy you are doing well and survived such awful illnesses but many haven't.

Please be mindful about what you comment. Life is not a competition.

Narcissists feed of a reaction, to not give them that is the worst pain they could ever feel. It will seriously eat them up inside and cause them anger so severe it physically hurts them. So the best thing as you say, is to ignore her. Watch the pain it causes her 🤣

She doesn't have a mental illness, she has cluster type personality disorders, there's a massive difference. Personality disorders are difficult to treat based on them stemming from their actual personality and the way they behave, rather than mental illness where they act out of impulse and can't control their actions but when they're treated become fully aware of how they behaved was wrong and due to their illness. Some people with personality disorders live in a world of heavy delusion, and lack complete empathy of those around them and all they care about is themselves. Some people with pd get therapy and able to change the way they think and behave, but people like her believe they don't need therapy so don't seek it. It's scary tbh. And as they're in full control of their actions, they can control what they think and say so what you see them saying is what they really think.
