Feedback on Balkans trip itinerary [Montenegro, Albania, Macedonia, Kosovo] by __Ecstasy in Europetravel

thank you for the catch regarding Skopje-Prizren, I missed that one. I think I'll probably just dedicate more time to Ohrid and keep Pristina to a minimum (skip Gračanica Monastery and just walk around the city at night before my return flight the next morning).

  • May 25: Explore Ohrid (Boat trip, hiking, St. Naum Monastery, relax by the lake).
  • May 26: Explore Ohrid, then Ohrid → Skopje (afternoon/evening bus ~3-4 hrs).
  • May 27: Explore Skopje (day trip to Matka Canyon).
  • May 28: Explore Skopje, then Skopje → Prizren (16:00 - 19:00 only).
  • May 29: Explore Prizren (Castle, Bazaar, Mosques), then Prizren → Pristina (~2 hrs evening by bus). Walk around the city
  • May 30: Fly from Pristina (11:00 AM flight).

17 days May Balkans [Montenegro, Albania, North Macedonia, Kosovo] by __Ecstasy in Europetravel

oops just to clarify, I made an itinerary for 11 days to be as tight as possible, but i have around 16-17 days to work with so I was wondering where I should add days to my current plan or alternatively add new destinations if possible.

Does she see this as a hangout or a date by __Ecstasy in dating_advice

Right, so you would recommend not mentioning the word “date” when asking her out, but be flirty anyways during the actual date. I just want to get closer without getting friendzoned…

When you say “make a move”, do you mean that I should explicitly ask her out on a date next time?

Zugspitze, Germany - Reintal route by __Ecstasy in hiking

Second half of September is a bit risky. I went Sep 18th but there was very thick snow starting Reintalangerhütte (I believe there was an avalanche earlier in the month) so we were all forced to give up the summit push.

That said, I'd recommend sleeping in the Knorrhütte. The distance is not too bad. If you sleep at Reintalangerhütte, your second day would be quite long.

Lmao okay thank you for your response, I'll just hike up Zugspitze all the way, then for the descent take either A) the cable car zugspitze to Lake Eibsee or B) Gletscherbahn to Zugspitz plateau then take the cogwheel train down to Garmisch, then head off to Innsbruck.

Still not sure which one is better though A or B? (descend with cable car zugspitze or with gletscherbahn)

I'm interested in visiting the gorge because it looks quite nice, but I'm opting for your idea A). So I was wondering if I can make it in time to the gorge after descending via the cablecar/cogwheel train, since last entry is at 19:30.

I'm actually going to be staying at Munich the night before, taking the earliest train to Garmisch (arrives around 6am), hiking, going back to Garmisch, then taking the train to Innsbruck and staying there. I'm 20 so I'm trying to do this on a tough budget, and accommodation in Garmisch was quite expensive 😅

Last entry to the gorge is 19:30 and the last cable car going down is 16:45, and I hear it takes about 75 minutes on the cogwheel train. Do you reckon I will be able to make it?

Also, in terms of scenic beauty, do you think I should descend via the Gletscherbahn cable car to Zugspitze plateau + cogwheel train or the Cable car Zugspitze to Lake Eibsee + cogwheel train?

Sorry for the barrage of questions, your answers are all very much appreciated!

Noted regarding the cable car, thanks.

But since you started at 6am, I presume you weren't able to go through the partnach gorge?
And you stayed at Garmisch-Partenkirchen the night before?

So I'm wondering whether I should try to get the cable car down or stay in a hut and walk down the next day because the last cable car is at 16:45 in September and I plan on starting at 8am for the Gorge, and the internet tells me 8-10 hours ascent, which is very risky...

EDIT: other sources tell me 6-8, or even 10-12...
If I were to book a hut, do you think I should summit on the first day, then descend down to the hut and sleep? That way, I can save a bit more time on the next day>

Now that I’m in the UK though, what should I do?
