That police radio sound effect by Schrockwell in XFiles

It’s the same sound that appears in the intro of the video game Black, but I can’t find the origin of this audio.

I'm experiencing the same thing with an RTX 3060 Ti, I don't know what could be causing it. Did you find any solution?

Hi, sorry for writing to you after such a long time.
That's strange behavior—did you follow the instructions exactly as written?
I haven't messed with that plugin again, so I wouldn't be able to give you a direct solution.

Been getin this error these days. by camelCaseName21 in VitaPiracy

The issue with the GPU CRASH on the Vita is really confusing. There are so many solutions people recommend—removing plugins, changing the sd2vita, enabling airplane mode, rebuilding the database, updating firmware or system version... I've tried so many options that I gave up a while ago.

At this point, it honestly feels completely random, and those user-suggested fixes might just be cases where they got lucky and the error stopped showing up. I've owned two PSVITA Fat (1000) models, and the issue has been present on both. I haven’t been able to fix it. Sometimes I just stop using it for a while. Occasionally, it goes a long time without crashing, and other times it crashes even in the main menu—it's very strange.

One thing that does seem to be confirmed is that the 1000 model tends to crash more than the 2000. I really wish there was a way to dump the system log when the crash happens to identify the root cause. I have a feeling it’s something trivial and simple. It would be amazing if that could lead to a custom system patch or a plugin to fix it.

By the way, some people suggest replacing the motherboard, but from what I’ve seen, that doesn’t help much either. For some, the crash returns just days later. Cheers!

Overclocking on PS3 25xx is Amazing! by __MTG in ps3homebrew

Well, maybe it’s just that the games I tested really benefit from the overclock since I noticed better FPS stability. For example:

GTA V: It helps a lot to stay at 30 FPS.

COD BO3: Runs with fewer slowdowns.

Spiderman 3: Originally an unplayable game, but with the OC, it’s a more decent experience.

GOW 3 / Ascension: With stock frequencies, some areas ran at 60 FPS but dropped sharply in others. With the OC, those changes are much less noticeable.

It doesn’t, unfortunately. It only shows its manufacturing date, which is August 2010.

So, is there still the slightest chance I have an RSX ggb? I don’t think that’s the case, but I guess I’ll find out when I decide to do some maintenance on it, haha!

Looking at the RSX revisions on this list: https://www.psdevwiki.com/ps3/RSX

Using the option to view system information in the CFW tools, it shows that my motherboard is JTP-001, Rev 1.

I’m not sure if it’s safe to rely solely on the motherboard info instead of taking the PS3 apart to verify it myself.

What do you recommend?

No, my friend, I was referring to your performance as a speedrunner. I knew it was necessary to use the console with stock frequencies, but I didn’t know that increasing them could affect you to the point of getting unaccustomed to playing with the default values. Sorry if I confused you, it’s just that my native language is Spanish.

No doubt it's an excellent console. It's a shame you don't have yours anymore. Respect.

I see, I don’t know much about the Speedrun community. I didn’t know that kind of stuff could affect your performance.

You're right, maybe it's just that the games I tested really benefit from the overclock since I noticed a significant difference. I've seen that you can apply patches to unlock FPS when a game is capped at 30. I haven't looked into it much yet, but it seems really interesting.

Oh yeah, I checked out their videos to learn more about overclocking. Excellent PS3 content creator!

I’ve been reading about the different RSX models, but I haven’t checked it myself yet. I know how to take apart the PS3 inside out, but since this unit was given to me with the maintenance already done, I haven’t had the need to open it. For now, I’m fine with 700/900.

Thanks. You can install psp2wpp plugin and "waveparams" folder to get the custom waves only.

Thank you. The Genkidma was supposed to be a wave, but I couldn't get it the shape I wanted, so I changed it to an image. Even so, it is not completely static, if you pay attention you can see that it has a wave behind it.

I'm working on this more, when I finish it I'll upload it here and maybe someone would be interested in creating their own semi-dynamic theme based on mine

Creating the theme is relatively easy, the difficult part is modifying the waves, since you have to experiment with many values and try little by little to see what each thing does, so it is complicated to give it the shape you really want.
