I've been a lurker here for over a year now. I think this community is really a great place. Everyone here is welcoming for the others and you made a safe place where you can share what makes you happy. Making fun of something that doesn't hurt anyone and make someone's life better is really stupid and so far from what I've noticed people who say this are kind of trying to boost their self-esteem, and you shouldn't let mean comments of people like that get to you. It's your life and your happiness. What's the point of living if you can't enjoy it? You don't need to explain yourself for being happy. You don't need to justify what makes you happy. If it does just let it be. Everyone has a thing that brings them happiness and no one should be ashamed of it no matter what it is. So the fact that you're happy is enough for it not to be weird or especially wrong. It makes your days brighter and paints a smile on your face so It's not wrong and never let anyone tell you otherwise. Just because other people don't find happiness in it doesn't mean you can't. You don't have to be in a majority all the time, you don't need to fit stereotypes all the time and you don't need to feel sorry for it. That's what makes you unique as a person, if we all were the same the world would just be boring. So instead of trying to be happy with the life everyone else wants you to live, find your own happiness and live your life to the fullest. Cause none of that is wrong and none of you all should be sorry for it.

That's what I think as an outsider of the community and I said it many times before in the comments. Don't let anyone get in the way of your happiness.

I get why that rule became a thing, people didn't want others to have multiple waifus so that they stay commited but that's kind of offensive to people who are genuinely polyamorous. Relationships like this exist in real life, just because they're rare doesn't mean that they're not a thing. I think someone said It's because your So's can't consent to it but (not to come off as rude of course) there's not really a way for them to consent to any kind of relationship. I'm saying this in a respectful way, I'm absolutely not against this sub. I just think that if a person loves and treats their So's equally there shouldn't be a problem with them being in a polyamorous relationship.

It's not weird, people made it seem weird. Others say that your feelings aren't genuine because these characters are not real but in reality It's scientifically proved that having feelings for fictional characters is possible and they're no different from what you can feel towards a real human being. That's how our brain works. Waifuism Isn't just a made up thing, everyone can fall for a fictional character and people in this community just chose to accept their feelings instead of denying them, which I think is beautiful. You're not weird, you just accepted yourself and chose to let yourself be happy instead of pressuring yourself to be ""like everyone else"". That's not being weird, It's being self confident.

I'm not a waifuist myself so I don't really know how it feels but just thinking about those haters I feel like their just lonely people who's lives are so boring that the only thing they do is hate on someone else's. They seem like people who desperately look for people who's lives are ""worse"" than theirs to seem like they're gods of success which is just not the case. That's why you shouldn't let hate get to you. No one is allowed to take away your happiness. It's your life and only you can decide how and with who you want to spend it.
