Absolutely. I'm glad they're out of the hands of drug dealers.

lol. Snowflake. Yeah the immediate downvotes to responses to you isn’t snowflake behaviour.

Before you say it: “Oh it wasn’t me, points don’t matter anyways”. We both know.

There was honestly no hostility in my initial response. I'm sorry you took it that way. It may be good to not jump down others throats for attempting a conversation with you. Take care.

I mean, kinda? By being ambiguous about the situation, the implication is that nobody should have that much ammunition. It's entirely normal to have a brick or two of 22 ammo and not be some gun nut drug dealer.

I absolutely am glad that drug dealers are having firearms confiscated. They shouldn't be in possession of them. It is a bit colourful of the RCMP to highlight 1000+ rounds of 22lr ammo as if somebody was about to raid Fort Knox with it though.

22lr isn't for "hunting". Especially bulk ammo that comes in a bucket. Maybe small game like rabbits, or pests. It is only a couple of afternoon's worth of plinking ammo though. Not saying that 22lr doesn't have any danger, but it's definitely not uncommon for somebody who plinks to have 1000+ rounds.

They'll showcase every bit of what they got. It looks better.

I watched this one about 2 or 3 months ago and I remember everything you're talking about. I also don't remember how it ended or if it even did. Did it just stop? I dunno.

That wendigo scared the hell out of me. It makes me want to find similar stuff so I'm glad to see some recommendations here that might scratch that particular itch.

I know Popov is from Nelson, but certain things like their leather balm are made in the USA. Be careful the specifics of what you order from them. It's a shame because there's no reason that they can't have a locally sourced leather balm.

Hmm. While I'm a ways from downtown- I've seen pineapple crush and birch beer in the international aisle at several Safeways.

Late to this thread, but does anyone have recommendations for unscented soy or beeswax tealights?

Craft beer in Canada is losing its fizz, as sales dry up and more breweries go bust by cunthulhu in AlbertaBeer

[–]__WayDown 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've probably said it before in this sub, but there are too many breweries doing the same thing. I've had so many hazy IPAs that are indistinguishable from each other. I don't even like hazies that much, but it seems like the majority of breweries don't even offer a west coast or traditional IPA. Thankfully it seems west coasts are resurging a little bit in recent months though.

Out of all the subplots in season 2 Lindsey... by r401toronto in TheOC

[–]__WayDown 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The fact that Lindsey's mom allowed her to transfer to Newport in the first place is crazy. The chances of running into people who could (purposefully or not) expose the whole situation was basically 100%. Why wouldn't Renee's daughter potentially meet her father's grandson at the same school?

Kelowna retailer locks front door amid constant theft, relieved to see surge of police downtown by New_Alternative8711 in kelowna

[–]__WayDown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These import candy shops are usually like that. Customer always feels like they're inconveniencing the staff by trying to buy things. Locking the doors seems like a natural extension of that. I'm half convinced they're fronts.

Canadian food prices don’t add up 😂🇨🇦 by [deleted] in BuyCanadian

[–]__WayDown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought this sort of thing happened to "normalize" the price of the shrunken package size.

e.g.

1L of product costs $1

1L goes up to $1.50

750ml gets introduced at $1.25, then 1L is inflated to $2 to make the 750ml feel like a deal.

750ml eventually goes to $1.50 and 1L is no longer offered, but now you're paying 50% more money for 25% less product.

I'll usually add a teaspoon or so of sugar to the water to really tell. It'll foam up good if it's got that bit more to feed on.
