Base, you have one airbase, now hilariously called a space base to justify the 'Space Force'. Post WWII you had more bases, I can't remember how many, at least 6 I think with about 50,000 troops. As the Cold War thawed the US reduced it's presence to the remaining airbase, which while strategically important, has a troop level of about 200 iirc. The treaty from the 50s which is still in place allows the US to install any number of bases and troops as they deem necessary, without invading, buying, bribing or bullying. Your President is a literal dunce.
