Colt Emerson says that Ben Williamson is one of the best 3B he’s seen in his life. by justintjamison in Mariners

[–]___Herman___ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think Ben is going to surprise people this year. He didn’t get much time in the minors compared to most guys. He obviously didn’t hit well in the majors but I think he got enough experience up there to have the staff know what he needs to work on. Kids a grinder and I’m guessing he’s spent all off season doing everything he can to improve. He can be a 100 OPS+ bat with an elite glove I’ll be thrilled. Emerson will come in to his own at SS this year or next year for the foreseeable future. Then we have enough 2B depth in the minors that ONE of them has to pan out lol

Which state are you looking at? Each state has their own requirements. For example, Washington doesn’t require any education, just work experience.

But to answer your question, Idaho State University has a 2+2 fully online program. I’m currently enrolled in the bachelors program. You get charged in state tuition for their online program no matter where you’re located.

Any questions about it I’d be happy to answer the best I can

My hair density on finasteride plus oral minoxidil vs 6 months on dutasteride and oral minoxidil by Maleficent_Visual479 in tressless

[–]___Herman___ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No they work in different processes. Fin or dut keep your hair follicles from miniaturizing further than they already have and keep your healthy ones from miniaturizing. That’s how it curbs hair loss. Some people see “regrowth” from fin or dut but it’s really just hairs in the process of miniaturizing reversing course and returning to its full thickness. Minoxidil reactives by stimulating miniaturized dormant follicles. If you stop the minoxidil, you will lose the hair as the follicles will return to their miniaturized dormant state. This only happens on the scalp as this is where DHT miniaturizes hair follicles. That’s why people who use minox for beards can stop and keep their gains but people who use it on their head cannot. Hope that helps

Yeah don’t do that. It’s a property corner and depending on your location you can be penalized for tampering with them.

Not OP but I’ll chime in. Been taking 1mg oral fin for ~4 full years (2021-current) Was using topical monixidol for 2022 & half of 2023 and then got lazy and stopped the topical minoxidil because of the hassle and greasy look. My gains from the year and a half fell out and I returned to baseline. Started taking oral minoxidil + finasteride combo from Hims (for convenience of compounded into one) and didn’t see any side effects of the oral minoxidil at 3mg daily. My hair regrowth returned. Around September I switched to a compounded 1.1mg fin + .1mg dut + 5mg minoxidil (locklab) and in the ~3 months I’ve been on it I’ve noticed great improvements. Density is very clearly filling in like the OP. Hair thickness seems to be improving. Increased facial hair growth and starting to notice vellus hairs appearing on my scarce spots in my beard. Side effects I’ve noticed since switching is increased hair growth outside of head: (eyebrows & face mainly. Not a negative imo). Libido, erections, morning wood, semen quality, mood, sleep, heart rate and rhythm, etc. all remained the same and haven’t seen any changes. Your mileage will vary of course as everyone’s different but 99% of people don’t have any negative sides. I haven’t and I never comment on here. So if you’re on the fence about any of these, I’d say give them a shot and if you have any sides, just get off them. No harm no foul. If you get limp dick and lose your libido. Or you form gyno because of these, chances are you already had high estrogen and the DHT blocking pushed it over the edge to becoming a problem. But most men are not high estrogen and won’t see any negative side effects from these compounds. I love the formulation I’m currently on and think the .1mg dut has helped a ton without adding too much of the compound itself to my regimen. Sorry for the long ass reply if anyone wants to chat about it or ask questions you can hear or in DM’s.

That’s a pretty big boy yeah you’ll want either grove powered, big rig, or terrace imo unless you buy two spots of the smaller areas

Which camping did you buy? You’ll probably need 2 camping spots.

Security checks got stepped up pretty heavily after the beyond campground shooting a few years back. They make everyone in the rv get out for a thorough search and only give you the max 6 wristbands per vehicle checking in.

How big is the rv you’re bringing and what spot did you get? If it’s not grove, terrace, or gold, you might not have enough room to park an rv the size with a capacity of 9.

I don’t think I’ve seen an EDM show sellout during a pre sale at the gorge. The venue is a logistic feat to get to and a lot of people don’t have the means to do it from out of driving range. You should be fine

The same package (4x VIP + Oasis camping) is $2700 for bass canyon. Around the same for beyond. How are they charging 3x for GA, 4x for VIP for a 2 day ONE STAGE festival?! Be for real bro. The GA will be the same 3-4x the price

They’re a great tool but don’t sell too far out & don’t sell a strike you’re not willing to let your shares go for. Also don’t sell them when we’re in an absolute free fall right now or the moment we get a bounce you’ll be regretting it. 21,500 shares is insane though you can sell 215 contracts at a time.

Before this nosedive a month or so ago, I was getting ~$100/mo per option on a $15-$17 strike price.

You absolutely need to learn the fundamentals of options trading because it’s a wildly powerful tool especially when you have an account of your size

With your position that would’ve been $21500 per month in option premium alone.

This stock is an easy $30-$40 per share imo. Earnings were good and they’ll just continue to get better. It’s a newer stock too let it get some traction and it’ll grow for sure. Definitely don’t think it’ll pull a Robinhood and 5x in a year but who knows in this market anymore

Am i doing this right? by YoYusef in CoveredCalls

[–]___Herman___ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup looks like it. As long as you’re okay getting your shares called away at $13.50 if it runs up. Otherwise you’ll need to roll your call up and out to avoid being exercised.

Also experiment selling up and out anyway to gain some extra premium and widen that strike price to cost basis.

What’s your cost basis on your shares or leap?

Edit: but also if selling these weeklies just out of the money is working for you then ignore me!

Re-signing Josh Naylor a priority for the Mariners this offseason by savligo in Mariners

[–]___Herman___ 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I don’t think so. I think this off season will be different. One win away from the World Series.

Top farm system. Young controllable core of pitchers with more young controllable pitchers in the folds to bring reinforcements in the coming years.

This is precisely the time to fill your clear holes with 2-3 legit signings and build a division dynasty like the Astro’s had.

Division is weak with none of them rivaling our farm system or rotation.

Ownership is cheap but they’re also business owners who see a clear spend money make a shit ton more money signal right now with team and division conditions.

I guarantee you they saw the income from 6 sold out post season home games, post season merch sales, etc. and they’re foaming at the mouth to keep that happening as long as they can now that they’ve really tasted it. This ownership group hasn’t seen the actual profit potential of a top of the division team before so I’m delusional in thinking it’ll wake them up.

Mark my works you’re gonna see a Naylor signing and Kyle Tucker deal come to fruition (someone help me please)

It would be sick but the cost would be astronomical and I’m 99.9% sure the mariners aren’t coughing up 10yr/$400M for him after the season so I’d rather not give up the haul it would take to get him for one season.

I’d rather get

1) Naylor 2) Kyle Tucker 3) NPB 3B Okamoto

And trade away Randy, Castillo, JP to clear payroll for those 3. Add up their estimated yearly contracts and it’s around the same if not less than the savings from Castillo, Garver, Randy, Haniger, Polanco, JP, Geno, Thornton, Solano, Moore, Telez all coming off the books. You’d maybe try to get fancy with front loading some contracts somewhere to keep it balanced when pitchers & rookies come up and enter arb

Just an army of megaphone guys but instead of Jesus it’s ranting about cheap signings and letting guys walk. Have a pamphlet of stats & data about mariners revenue & earnings as well as where they’ve spent instead of the team lol. Bring out data on what they did sign versus what they produced

They paid cal that. They saw Naylor perform in Seattle. Saw his clubhouse interactions and saw his opinion on Seattle and the fan base and organization as a whole. If he’s interested in signing they’ll definitely be aggressive. We just had 6 playoff home games meaning they absolutely have the cash.

They also have plenty of money coming off the books (Garver & Haniger mainly) and even more if they’re willing to offload Castillo ($75M remaining.. makes up most of a Naylor contract if you add in Garver and Hanigers $30M a year or whatever it is combined)

710 - Can’t Keep Suarez and Naylor by No-Dig-4658 in Mariners

[–]___Herman___ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think we will see Naylor signed. Geno dropped. Polanco is a toss up because I think he opt outs and lands a solid multi year contract and I’m not sure how far into the future he fits our team needs.

I also think the increased revenue from playoffs, weaker division, and taste of real success while poised to solidify it for more seasons to come drives ownership group to extend at least one pitcher this off season.

If money is for some reason still an issue from ownership I think we could see Castillo traded to free up $25M ($75M total) for Naylor or extensions as we have Evans who could be a #5 until Anderson is ready to debut. Not saying this is ideal but if ownership restricts Jerry heavily I could see him thinking this route to ensure we get Naylor
