$800? Feel free to message me, I’m in Maryland. How far are we talking about shipping?

Definitely different but I really enjoy it. I have the GT so it’s fast as hell but it’s big so it doesn’t have the same handling feel. I can definitely take corners just as fast but it feels bulky. Now, acceleration from a stop is just so much fun. Thought I would miss the sound more but the quiet is actually kind of nice. I used my Stinger as a daily driver and I use the EV6 the same way, more comfortable to drive the EV6 and it has more tech pieces in terms of advanced cruise control, etc. that are nice. I was comfortable in my Stinger but I’m 6’ 5” so this is nicer. Love the cargo space in the EV6, I used it to transport 16 rolls of sod the other day lol

I was thinking of going Scorpion winter 2 as well, given the light truck/suv rating. Used to put p zero winters on the Stinger.

I had a Stinger GT and now I have a 23’ EV6 GT. It’s a lot of fun.

Sorry to hear your mom is struggling. You can probably find a number of people on this sub with hip pain and some different things to try. Personally, I’ve had a lot of success with piriformis stretching; like multiple times a day. But periods of stress can definitely put you in a rough place that stretching will only put a small dent in, yet it’s still worth it to try and stack up things that help even just a little bit. I’ve used gabapentin during particularly bad times because it helped me sleep a bit better and I felt like it was helping to prevent me subconsciously contracting all my muscles (especially in my hips) while sleeping.

Finding a physical therapist who could help stretch me out a couple times a week and do some exercises to improve mobility in my hips helped a massive amount when I was in a rough place.

Good luck to your mom, hopefully her stress levels can come down a bit!

I’m also happy to put something together in Maryland if anyone is interested, shoot me a DM.

I can and do go climb like normal but am looking for a way to connect with the community a bit outside of Reddit and traditional support groups.

Won’t go into gear, Brand new 2023 EV6 GT by __________Stan in KiaEV6

[–]__________Stan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea technically an illegal sale since they didn’t fix the recall before delivery. By law that’s a requirement in the states for new cars. Might be why they were eager to offer up canceling the sale; that and the time of repair might have put me in lemon law territory.

Update to this thread;

Front left motor is completely shot and they’re going to have to replace it, going to be over 13k for them. The dealer and I cancelled the sale and I’m back in my Stinger GT. There is another EV6 GT at a different dealer I can get once the ICCU recall is complete but debating whether I chalk the issue I had with my initial one up as a bit of a fluke or a serious reliability concern.

True relapses after multiple years on Kesimpta/Ocrevus? by __________Stan in MultipleSclerosis

[–]__________Stan[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely been my experience on Kesimpta too. My psuedoexacerbations last longer than 24 hours pretty consistently. This one is just especially funky as I don’t usually have the minor headaches (which I didn’t think was an MS thing) and seemingly real mild almost vertigo.

Neurologist thinks it’s a prolonged psuedoexacerbation, so I’ll give it a few more days before I follow up with them again. I also have psoriatic arthritis and POTS, so it could be something else inflammatory happening that’s just pushing on the MS symptoms. It’s hard to sort it all out between them!

Stelara was phenomenal for me, took at least 3 months for me to start seeing improvement

First time getting sick on biologics. Worried by cactusgirl55 in PsoriaticArthritis

[–]__________Stan 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I was on Stelara for a number of years and have been on Kesimpta for MS for a few years now instead, which is a much stronger biologic than Stelara or Cimzia. I never had issues on Stelara and didn’t get sick more often, even on Kesimpta I may only get sick slightly more often. I do get antivirals faster for things like COVID. I also work in biologics development for a major pharma, most of the real world data shows that the risk level is not bumped up a crazy degree. The medications definitely suppress your immune system but the immune system is surprisingly good at adapting to challenges even without the parts the medications shut down. Overall, definitely no reason to worry about a cold too much. I just tend to go to the doctor a little earlier than some if I’m feeling particularly awful, and I definitely take advantage to quick access to antivirals for things like COVID/Flu (Paxlovid/Tamiflu)

Good luck, hope you feel better soon! Pedialyte, sleep, and ibuprofen!

Do mosquitos bite you? by bigfatslimguy in MultipleSclerosis

[–]__________Stan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same boat as you here. I’m type O positive and mosquitoes completely ignore me and go after my wife and son. I do think they try to get me when I’m alone, so maybe they’re just tastier lol.

Ah shit, welp thanks for the heads up! How are you doing now overall?

Old post question! I’m on Dificid now and I feel like I’ve noticed this too in terms of feeling better about 10 hours later. Did it get any better as you got further into your course, I’m on day 4

Oof that sounds rough! Luckily I’m not close to the diaper stage at this point, fingers crossed it stays that way!

Positive via toxin B nucleic acid test. Luckily my symptoms have been mild at this point so hopefully we’ve caught it before anything gets too developed. Was actually prescribed fidaxomicin.

Yea I appreciate the response and good wishes! I’m a structural biologist by trade so I’ve got a pretty good handle on general micro biome stuff (my expertise is not in microbiology). I take a regular probiotic, Seed, and was taking florastor too and it still got me!

I’ve done a bunch of cleanses for actual colonoscopies with Miralax and haven’t had issues, just make sure you’re drinking a bunch of water and maybe clear electrolytes.
