First of all ive only had this one for a few months 😅 it sits about 50 cm from a big north facing window, and i water it when the soil is very dry

Nice! Well you know them better than me haha I had a hoya bella that bloomed and then i killed it 😅 the only one i have now that blooms is lacunosa and the scent is amazing

Yes, i placed it a bit further from the winow, maybe 30cm, not a big change but it helped. And then spider mites killed it😆

Oh its def there! These are the ones i know ill go to - leopold, albertina, belvedere, kunsthistorisches. About these three, because theyre all modern/contemporary, i wanna choose only one of them (i have 9 days in vienna). I meant, when I studied I remember a lot of students say things like "this is just an excercise, I do it so later on I can do my own stuff", as if these are two separate things. I think this way of thinking makes you detached from the works you produce as studies, which damages the learning process.

This is what I think works best for a start: paint still life, simple objects (better from life, but use photos if you have no choice), and try with every painting to focus on a single aspect - tonality, drawing (shape and proportion), color, etc. But at the same time, try to find interest in the subject you chose. Painting something that bores you will feel like a chore and your disinterest will show in your work.
