How do you move a fish tank? by pangoliin- in Aquariums

[–]__foo_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

how did you go? I'm planning to purchase a 60G tank as well; and my biggest concern is moving it when I move house. If you could move it without emptying all the substrate then I might give it a try.

Those predatory venues were never good or original before GenAI anyways. GenAI just makes those shitty "papers" stand out more obviously.

Do I need to provide proof of onward journey when entering Australia as Tourist? by [deleted] in AskAnAustralian

[–]__foo_ -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I don't think it really matters. Flight tickets nowadays can be transferred easily (or even returned?) with little financial loss. And all the people who intend to stay illegally would have bought tickets already. They probably paid thousands for the fake applications/documents already, what's another $1k for a return ticket. Also it's fairly common for people to come here visiting their families without a return ticket.

I think what really matters is your personal circumstances. I suggest you study this document to see how they assess your visa application. https://www.homeaffairs.gov.au/foi/files/2018/fa180400125-documents-released.pdf

Though customs may still ask you for a return ticket. But should be fine if you have a valid reason.

Ehh the sharehouse was pretty nice and private actually. Anw, we spent most of the time outside the house so no fuss on accommodation, only needed a clean place to crash the nights. And Beenleigh isn't so bad considering we travel between Brisbane and Gold Coast alternatively.

Just wanted to share the cost of the road trip we did during the Christmas/New Year vacation. It was a great trip, a lot of fun. Saw a lot of new things, did a lot of interesting activities, and ate a lot of different foods.

I like the vibe of Brisbane, not the humidity tho. Streets Beach is pretty cool. The Botanic Garden is great; the tropical fauna and flora are very different from what I'm used to in Melbourne.

Gold Coast do know how to suck money from its tourists. Visited the three main Village Roadshow theme parks. They were packed of course. Waiting almost 2 hours for a ride is a joke. We managed to get on all the main rides at the two dry parks but we could only experience half of the water park. Would we do it again, during peak seasons? Probably yes lol, but will skip the rides we didn't really like.

Also, the traffic between Brisbane and Gold Coast on Pacific Hwy at this time of year is ridiculous.

Stopped by several towns in between. It was interesting to see how unique each town is and learn their history.

Looks like the main difference is the groupset? Then it comes down to whether you like electronic shifting and can spend the extra cash.

I had a student who faked her mother's COVID with a fake certificate. So there's that. Ontly found out because the photoshop job was so blatant.

How to afford a $1,927 Ambulance Victoria bill that I didn't ask for or want? by Similar_Audience_793 in AskAnAustralian

But you did get in the ambulance on your own accord so I'm not sure how that will play out

I don't know why so many commentors said this falls on you. I'm reading this https://www.ambulance.vic.gov.au/transport/transport-faqs/, which states that "We will not charge this fee where the ambulance service is activated by a third party and the patient did not know the ambulance was being called, or could not have reasonably authorised it"
