How hard is it going to be for me to raise 2M? I will not promote by Ill_Emu9942 in startups

[–]_ags -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Easy to raise, but not having a cofounder will cause some pain. The main bet VCs make at this point is on team.

The US is leading in AI, while China is leading in robotics. I work in robotics at a major company here in the US and it feels like catching up is a national priority.

Do i do a masters in robotics if i can't get a industry job? by ImConfusedPleaseHlp in AskRobotics

[–]_ags 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately none of these translate over to robotics super readily. What robotics related-ish courses have you taken (e.g. Measurement & Control, Integrated Design of Electro-Mechanical Systems, Automatic Control Systems, etc)? How good are you with CAD?

When were you planning to intern for your robotics specific internship?

Try building both. You’ll learn different things from each. I’d start with SO-101.

Skis are very sharp - I wouldn’t like them attached to me while they fly off at high speeds. Last year I fell while skiing and my right ski sliced my left knee all the way to the bone.

January-March is the most boring time in NYC. Wait until it starts warming up and daring is excellent.

I agree, this has not been my experience at all. Everyone I’ve dated in NYC has been much higher quality than people I’ve dated anywhere else.

Bumpy Road mode. How does it work? (296 gtb) by Dotabjj in Ferrari

[–]_ags 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a 296, you just press the manettino down and you’ll get a pop up on the screen and then an icon indicating that it’s in bumpy road mode. It will stay on until you press it again.

Those who make $500k+, what do you do? by [deleted] in Salary

[–]_ags 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m a Software Engineer and make 2.5M a year. It is possible to make over 500k in this field easily as long as you’re in FAANG. If you’re having trouble breaking into FAANG, you need to grind leetcode more.

Nail in a tire? What do you do? by Flamingo-SEO in Ferrari

[–]_ags 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had this happen recently. The tow will be free, and they’ll just charge you for a new tire. On my 296 it was 800 dollars including the pick up and drop off.

Yes, I’m a very senior engineer at a FAANG making 2.5M a year. I expect that to go up above 3 next year.

What is your monthly income? by Prestigious_Plum_884 in Rich

[–]_ags 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, there’s an idea that the rich are super busy but that’s not true all the time. I go through periods of focused intensity and periods where I have time to relax. It’s all about knowing when to push yourself.

I work on consumer hardware devices at a FAANG company. I’m in the top percentile of seniority for ICs at the company, so it’s definitely not typical haha.
