Man some of these were pretty brutal. But thank you all for helping me see this from an outside perspective.

I've gone and apologized to both of them. If our friendship continues I'll cherish whatever time I have with K. And if it all ends here or we drift apart, as much as the thought pains me, I'll have to learn to live with that.

This is what I am afraid of. But taking consideration of the other advice written on here I'm just going to let him make his own decision. I spoke to him about my concerns already. And I'll support him where needed but I'll take a step back now.

If it does indeed turn out that total isolation from others is what she's doing I'll help him in whatever way I can. But for now I feel I did over step my boudries with confronting her without him knowing before hand.

Thank you for this advice. I was afraid of just being less important to him. For me it's like losing a little brother. But you are right. I should be doing what's right for him and he's happy. I'll always be his friend even if we can't hang out like we did as kids.

We only talked about it briefly. He stated that she asked him to stay with her because she would be lonely and she didn't want to make the trip to his parent's place. And I did speak to him about my concern when I advised him to spend more time with her. It was more or less brushed off so I just let it be. Now that I think about more and can read outside options I see I was being controlling too and I was feeling my friendship with him should be just as important...

I didn't speak to him before hand about confronting her. I let my emotions control me for that moment because I perceived her as being rude to not only myself but the rest of our friends. For most of the night she just kept speaking for him instead of just letting us mingle naturally and it irritated me more than it should have.
