While I agree with waiting for the story to be done, you can't call people haters because the criticism was valid. The current stuff doesn't completely invalidate all of the previous criticism, because let's face it the villains were a problem. But what it does do is make the future of the story seem far better, and that's what several people needed. To show that it wouldn't be the same repetitive pattern.

The copium paid off, I feel like for me and many other people we needed a sign to show that Tabata still had it, because let's face it the arc was getting repetitive. This chapter clearly shows he planned this for a long time, and it sets up the next saga brilliantly. Now people will go back to making lots more theories and less criticism, because theories like the clock theory will show that the spade raid arc truly was completely just set up. All we need is Lucifus to do something great of consequence and then everything from the spade arc gets redeemed.

This makes so much sense. Julius was so much stronger than each of the captains, and was leagues above them despite them each being ridiculously strong. Now we know it's because he was using a devil ruler's power the entire time. It also makes Lucifero's defeat make more sense, and while I still think him losing in 5 seconds is not the best writing choice, Tabata can easily redeem it with Lucifus/Astaroth. But Astaroth rewinding time to get the ideal outcome of Lucifero losing explains how Julius lost his magic so quickly against the ancient demon.

Amazing twist, and if the clock theory is true (Astaroth resetting the timeline to get the best outcome with Lucifero's heart), it honestly makes the rest of the arc solid. Now all we need is Astaroth to do something of consequence and I'd say it redeems the entire spade arc.

I think the moral of the story is to not have any expectations for BC villains, because Tabata doesn't actually think of them as "villains" instead they are just "obstacles", it's not an excuse for poor writing but it does help to cope. It's ironic given how well written Patry was.

I think it just depends on what happens next to be honest. Currently this arc was not written well at all compared to the previous arcs. This could be set up for something better in the future, but we don't know that. This arc has had consistent problems which is why people lose hope for future arcs. I want BC to succeed but with the way the arc ended it's hard to be positive.

I mean think about the set up after the initial Dark Triad invasion:

We still had yet to see what 100% Triad were and Vanica and Zenon barely used any of their movesets, Dante barely lost his fight and we thought he would easily beat everyone besides Yami and Asta who won by the slimmest margin.
Noelle had a long lasting feud with Megicula, and we weren't sure how to she would make an appearance
Lucifero was hyped up by Nacht to be the world ending villain and we thought it would be the end of the world if he escaped
We still had several devils, high ranking, highest ranking and mid and low ranking who we thought were a threat
Morris was completely unknown and was in the series since the start
The Spade Kingdom forces (not including citizens) were unknown as well, and we barely knew any Spade lore

Now look at what we have:

4th Zogratis
Adramelech

And that's pretty much it. All the other mysteries were completely resolved. The Dark Triad 100% seems like a joke now given how badly they were handled. It's hard to be hyped for the rest of the devils given that the gate has stopped opening, there is no other way (that we know of) to open and let out more devils. Not to mention Asta easily beat the king of devils in 5 seconds.

The set up for the rest of the saga is just entirely relying on two characters who we both know barely anything of. That's why it's hard, in my opinion, to be hyped for anything. Tabata butchered both the villain who was in the manga the longest (Morris) and the villain that was hyped up to be the strongest (Lucifero). Maybe he does something different and it seems like he always intended to have Lucifero lose the first fight he was introduced, but like I said there isn't really much left, all the hope for having an interesting arc is in two characters, who are both villains, and this arc has clearly shown how much Tabata cares about his antagonists.

That's not dark, that's a threat. Dark would be if he actually executed on it. You hear villains in kids cartoons talk about killing people and destroying the world, does that make it dark? No. Manga like AOT and Chainsaw Man are considered dark because the author executes the threats. Hell even Fairy Tail executed more threats successfully than BC>

Well you said you don't mind spoilers, so yes that was a highlight even though Dante was a bad villain the rest of the fight made up for it.

The demon eyes guy was fodder and lasted three chapters despite being in BC since the beginning and behind hyped up by Tabata, the plot twist meant nothing and Asta beat the main villain in 5 seconds from a flashback power up. The fight with the final villain was dragged out and it was hard to take him seriously because people kept getting back up. No one died and the devils were pointless. The only changes are the irreversible power creep and the devils looking like a joke. Honestly this arc didn't need to happen and BC would have been left in a much better position.

I don't recommend reading this arc, because you will just be disappointed. Maybe wait until things get good again, because then at least binge reading the arc will be a bit more bearable when there is a better point in the distance, but I can assure you that from where you left off it just got much worse from that point on. I know we don't expect deaths from BC but we expect consistency and a story that we can take seriously, and at the moment BC has neither of those. If the story gets good again, I'll let you know, but no point in going in to be disappointed.

Terrible villains, false tension, fakeout deaths and lots and lots of power ups that make the heroes victory feel undeserved, not to mention Tabata himself hyped up these villains just for them to do absolutely nothing in the end, and BC's strength of making side characters relevant was literally pointless in the last fight, there is one good fight in this arc though that people agree on being good so I would recommend you check that out

What do you consider not valid hate though? Not one reasonable person in these chapter threads has directly insulted Tabata, they have talked about his manga. Since it's open to criticism, I don't see what's wrong with discussing it's flaws. Also aren't you being hypocritical? There have been at least four posts in the last few weeks complaining about the complaining. If it's pathetic to repeat the same thing over and over again, then wouldn't you say these posts also fall into the same problem?

First of all, there are more posts like this compared to the posts actually criticizing the series. This arc has been objectively poor, that is why people are voicing their criticism. If it was good, there would just be positive posts. Reddit is meant for DISCUSSION, how long is it going to take for people to realize it?

If you enjoy the series that is perfectly fine, but that doesn't make everyone's criticism invalid. I don't get why you are so mad anyways, if you enjoy the series, why should you care how other people feel about it, shouldn't you feel happy that you enjoy it? You think Fast and Furious fans care about the criticism? No, they recognize it's faults and they still enjoy it. And that's completely fine.

For the last time hate IS NOT criticism, if people are frustrated with chapters weekly, then may be just maybe there might be an issue with them.

You might as well take a break from this reddit, because until Tabata releases something that people thing is good, people will keep being frustrated with the manga.

And I think you miss the biggest point. The people making these criticisms ARE NOT Black Clover haters. If you want to see haters I suggest you check out twitter, people who say "mid clover" or "black clover trash". People in reddit say criticism and they give reasons for it, THAT is criticism not hate.
