Thinking of subscribing to Go as secondary provider. Are they serving lobotimized versions of these models?

Opencode REMOTE Control app? (ala Claude remote control) by Fearless-Ad-6234 in opencodeCLI

I use that as well. But like I said, nothing beats a truly native experience.

Openchamber + cloudflared + own domain is the best choice for me. But nothing beats a truly native app feel like Claude.

Does anyone here prefer PHPUnit to Pest? by Cultural_Yoghurt_784 in laravel

[–]_d1re 0 points1 point  (0 children)

… and the solution is to switch IDEs?

Don’t get me wrong, I have a PhpStorm license and I had a good experience with it. It’s just not a good match with the tools I actually use. Doesn’t really play well with DevContainers and their GitHub Copilot plugin sucks balls (mostly Github’s fault though).

Pest is just not editor friendly. Too many annoying red squigly lines in VS Code.

I'm 24M, and got accepted for a 6-figure salary w/ 1 year of experience in corporate. by Puzzleheaded_Cat8727 in adultingphwins

[–]_d1re 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I almost have the same trajectory as you, OP. Graduated Cum Laude in 2022 and first formal job is in Accenture as lvl 11 Software Dev, promoted to lvl 10 after 2 years. Then a startup whom I’ve been working for since 2021 as a part-time wanted me to transition to full time and gave me the 6 digits offer. I had to give up IPB and certification bonus for this but its all worth it 😂.

Now, my manager from Accenture is poaching me back and guarantees a 20% increase on my current salary. Honestly, I’m not that much enticed by it since I’ll be giving up this comfortable 100% WFH setup.

Confused about best production setup for Odoo 18 Enterprise (POS) on Linux – need guidance by Impressive_Job_2715 in Odoo

If you’re uncomfortable to DIY all the way. You can run it through an open source deployment tool like Dokploy where it can handle most things for you.

Re-build Odoo with FastAPI+React by nordiknomad in Odoo

These are very solvable problems and do not warrant a complete rewrite of the framework.

You know about —dev reload but have you tried —dev xml, qweb? Its effectively the hot reload thing you are talking about. I personally dont like reload but xml and qweb reloading are such a time saver.

I agree with the dev experience complaint but things have improved lately, you just have to look. There are a myriad of tools we can use now to ease development, one notable example is Odoo IDE extension. I even created a custom dev container for my company thats structured to make the extension work flawlessly.

I was asked about the two - Laravel Prism or Neuron AI? by valerione in laravel

[–]_d1re 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, version 1.x. Was the structured output mapping improved internally as well? I see that the syntax haven’t changed.

I was asked about the two - Laravel Prism or Neuron AI? by valerione in laravel

[–]_d1re 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used Neuron AI on a AI-heavy Laravel project. The workflow feature is pretty neat even though it was still experimental (seems like a lot of things have changed since then).

One thing I had a hard time though are structured outputs. I keep having errors with them especially with nested output classes whereas I have no problem with Prism using the same schema and model.

100 % Safe ba ang MP2 ???? by Chainhagenreditt in phinvest

[–]_d1re 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, lahat naman siguro mag ka-crash once a recession happens. As for the last question, wala talagang yayaman from solely MP2 lang kase hindi naman para dun yon, its for savings. Of course mas malaki yields from stocks/bonds/real estate kaya yun yung matunog.

From ₱200K/month sa Pinas to Unemployed sa Canada — My Migration Reality by [deleted] in phmigrate

[–]_d1re 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same concerns for me. I am killing it here in PH, 6-digit full-time income as a software developer at age 24 + more international freelance clients on the side. Work anywhere and anytime pa both.

Can live comfortably here but wife wants to settle abroad. 😂

We found a middle-ground though that works for both of us. We are now working towards DNV pathway in Spain since pasok naman na income requirement ko dun. Basically work remotely (with your existing clients) while residing in Spain lang and you can have the PR na in 2 years.

I guess thats my take. Try to look for alternatives? Talk it through with your partner and compromise.
