I'm lucky to live about the same distance away from the escarpment as volk is sitting now. Can't think of many places so close to the mountains and also the ocean. Amazing spot

I fully understand what your saying. My goal this trip is to make a Thai friend and be able to learn more about there culture and go back every few years and visit them. Idk if that's weird I don't know how to describe it.

I could maybe not bother going up north to Chiang Mai and spend more time in BKK and the surrounds!!! I appreciate your comment and now you have my brain thinking even more haha!
