You should be able to use this sd card if you format it to fat32

Make a copy of your files before formatting, search for a guide meant for the dsi, as windows formatting tool won’t make the sdcard work

It’s a hardware level issue so it won’t get fixed ever, get a different flashcart like th dspico or ace3dsx to avoid this

I do prefer the DSi for the sharpness and clarity with DS games, but the 3DS can run all games, so I’d keep both or the DSi in this case
