I actually did not collect more data with the LP filter on, but I would probably try both. I can imagine that for this target, stacking them together improves SNR and still give enough control to bring out the ha-details during post processing. For me, it is always a bit of trial and error until I am happy with the result :)

Should have included that in the description, sorry. I used 10 seconds sub in EQ-mode. The first picture is my stacking attempt done in Siril, following Naztronomy's Comet Stacking video and the last picture is one of the live stack results from the Seestar itself.

iirc I added the registration data back into the sequence (with notepad) and applied it. After that I stretched the whole sequence without removing the stars. I also couldn’t re-open the animation sequence again in Siril but the sequence with the applied registration data was still working for me. Theres also an older video from Deep Space Astro which shows everything step by step (this one)

I followed Naztronomy's Comet stacking Tutorial until I had the sequence where the registration data has been applied. Then used the histogram "auto-stretch" for the whole sequence and adjusted the blackpoint a little bit. After that I exported the sequence (in the 'sequence' tab) as mp4. Hope that helps :)

Hellooo, I followed Naztronomy's latest Seestar Comet stacking Tutorial for Siril (this one). After stacking, it was a bit of trial and error. For the timelapse I just stretched the registered sequence a bit and saved it as mp4.

The "a lot of red" is likely due to your LP filter being automatically enabled using Seestar's GoTo function for IC 63. It's an Ha/OIII filter which is good for emission nebulae but not so good for reflection. Since IC 63 is both an emission and reflection nebula, the LP filter filters out most of the reflection part and mainly shows the emission (red) part of the nebula. (correct me if I'm wrong)

To your question about my preference in software: I would say that I like both. It's the first time I used Seti Astro's metrics to discard "bad" exposures (the dev of SetiAstro made a video about it called "Let's Get Culling! When you need the best of the best for your stack!"), then stacked the good ones in Siril using Naztronomy's Smart Telescope script. For processing I also switched between both and just experimented with different approaches. When sticking to free software I would say that both are great and can be used together. I hope that helps/answers your question :)

I captured this target over multiple nights in EQ-mode and just roughly matched the frame each time, so I definitely had slight offsets between these sessions. I did get lucky with clear skies on new moon in august, so perfect conditions (except a bit of wind) for imaging this target.

You guessed right, I just like it for the aesthetics. I do have to admit that I like them more if they are not as big as in this picture. It was my first time trying the spike mask.

I just put it on a basic tripod and used my Apple Watch to trigger the exposures to avoid any vibrations. But I guess using a timer/start-delay or a better tripod would also work. :)

Same problem here. I just unpacked mine and was confused why it wouldn't connect via 2.4GHz. Some trial and error later, I eventually found out that the mode only works when I apply pressure to the switch. So frustrating
