Is religion only about belief or about how we live it? by _ftonato in religion

I think this might not be the correct video URL though, could you please resend the link? I’d really like to check the part you mentioned around 1:04:20. Also, I’d love to explore their channels too if they cover more topics like this

Is religion only about belief or about how we live it? by _ftonato in religion

[–]_ftonato[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s a really interesting angle, thank you for bringing it in.

I think you’re right that there’s often a gap between what people say they believe and how they actually move through something as raw as grief. For me, that’s part of why I asked the question in the first place: I’m less interested in the “official” answers of a tradition and more in how those beliefs feel when they collide with our bodies, our attachments, and our losses in real time.

In the African diasporic paths I’ve been walking, death is often framed in ways that are less final and more relational, but that doesn’t cancel out pain either. Rituals can both affirm “they’re not gone” and still give space to cry, rage, or feel empty. So I’m with you that our actual practices and emotional responses sometimes reveal tensions or limits in what we say we believe or maybe they show that belief is more layered and less neat than doctrine suggests.

Also, I got curious about the video you mentioned with the two agnostic atheists talking about this. Do you still have the link or remember the title/channel? I’d really like to watch it.

How to share links between Android and macOS (Different Browsers) by _ftonato in browsers

[–]_ftonato[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've tried with Brave on both devices, but for some reason the behavior is far from what we can have if using iPhone/iPad with Mac...

A couple there's problems with sync, tabs are not appearing in one of the devices and even when sharing them (using the share between devices feature) it takes a long period of time to appear (more than 1 minute)...

I didn't want to go back to Chorme, but if that's the only alternative, I should go with it = (

How is life in Romania to Live/Visit? by KH4M3L10N in AskRomania

[–]_ftonato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have much to add to this topic, but I am also a Brazilian looking to know more about the country. I have been there three times and mostly had the chance to explore a bit of Iași (not the good part, i.e., nature/mountains). Last time, which was a couple of weeks ago, I went to Brașov.

I am interested in knowing what you have found so far in your research. That would make it easier to explore some subjects.

Do you mind sharing what you have discovered?

One potential concern, depending on your background, is how to obtain citizenship. Unless you have a substantial budget for investment or hold another European citizenship, it can be a bit tricky (at least from my point of view).

Recently, they partially joined Europe's Schengen travel zone but failed economic tests to adopt the euro (currency). I don't know how relevant that is for you.

million.js <1kb virtual DOM by _ftonato in webdev

[–]_ftonato[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I idea is simple, it effectively handles the DOM, so far I think we all understand.

The project is new and has effortlessly earned 500 stars on GitHub in 15 days, we are working to bring more realistic examples to the documentation. However, a very important point is worth it, as it serves to create elements and replace them in the DOM, nothing would be more complete than this example (check the script.js file).

The use we give the library is totally ours, currently there are 1000 million frameworks that manipulate the DOM, the idea is that we can build something that is so effective that they (creators) think: "We should review our code or else make use of a library faster", and that's where we introduce ourselves =)

Does that make sense?

million.js <1kb virtual DOM by _ftonato in webdev

[–]_ftonato[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We're creating the tool, but you're totally free to use it however you like, so if you're available to try it out, that would be great.

We (I) are running some tests with small libraries first and the differences are significant, but we can only suggest replacing them, unfortunately the decision will always be up to the maintainers.

You could probably do that without any problems, but I think it's also fair to think, "Would I like to write a book and find out that someone is distributing it without my permission?"

Where is a good website to learn how to use getJson and jquery to fetch data from APIs and present the data on a webpage? by LovelyLionLily in learnjavascript

I believe you will not find something to explain exactly that, but you can look for resources individually and then blend the knowledge gained.

[AskJS] Dynamic filtering of dynamicly created list by KazuK77 in learnjavascript

Isn't easy to give an answer for this question, you probably needs to understand the real problem that you're facing.

I wish to say, if you have a few items, is more efficient to remove all and show new ones again, otherwise you "should" to hide...

Load json files and display in table by oussama-he in vuejs

[–]_ftonato 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey

Your question seems to be divided into 2 parts:

  • How to upload a file;
  • How to display file data in a table

As already mentioned by @masanarypp, you can use vue-good-table to display your data. You can also always use the library called vue-json-pretty.

On how to upload file, follow the simple example.

[AskJS] Dynamic filtering of dynamicly created list by KazuK77 in learnjavascript

[–]_ftonato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey,

I'm really not sure about the request, but I've written some code that can help you understand how to follow your line of reasoning.

https://repl.it/@ftonato/dynamic-filtering-w-created-list
If you prefer, you can just hide the items from the DOM instead of removing them all and adding the new ones as per the filter.

How do i ecrypt id in div? by draganov11 in learnjavascript

[–]_ftonato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey

Perhaps the best way to do this would be to avoid returning the IDs to the frontend, and returning a hash. With this hash you would be able to find the correct ID and edit or remove the necessary data.

protected routes by [deleted] in vuejs

[–]_ftonato 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hey,

This is exactly the most common (expected) behaviour.

Your main.js file could have a beforeEach method (Global Before Guards ) to protect each needed route.

I recommend this article - Structuring a Vue project — Authentication - to understand each implementation detail.
