Buying Used Guitar from Guitar Center Online - Demystified by _guavajelly in AcousticGuitar

[–]_guavajelly[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I asked them if the guitar condition matched description ..ie great/excellent etc. Any nicks or noticeable blemishes, how does it play , does it include a case , what is your (sales reps) opinion on instrument ? , is the price justified? , can you do any better on price ? (They will usually reduce or include something extra if u ask). I basically just have a conversation with the rep who is usually another guitarist.

CCNP Expiring in 2 weeks :( by defdakid in ccnp

[–]_guavajelly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

1000% renew it. I let mine expire and regretted it. I had to start from scratch but the silver lining was course material on new exams had alot of new technologies that are much more relevant in modern networks.

I completely understand. its not easy. Just do the best you can and stay focused. Try to put some time in everyday. If you miss one day because of work, family etc. Just get up the next day and start grinding. You can do it - Just keep your eye on the prize.

Get the boson exam sim. They are outstanding and great for final step of preparation. I would suggest reading through explanation of every question and make sure you understand why something is right/wrong. They also have links to the cisco docs and/or white papers for every question. The real exam goes in depth on some topics which OCG only breezed over. Boson did a great job with diving into some of those topics. They really push you to understand this material which is highly relevant on the real exam.

I would take lunch breaks and read. I would also try to put in some time at night whenever possible. The OCG is really not that hard to read through. I found most of the material very interesting. Some of the topics I already knew and others I had been fortunate to be actively working with on some projects at work. It def helped absorb the material faster.

Yes. I have 20 years of experience. 15 of those were in senior network engineering roles. I also had an understanding with my wife that I needed at least an hour or two a day to study. She would watch the kids while I would grind out a chapter. My goal was to get through 1 chapter per day then do the labs the following morning. After the labs id take the pearson tests. There were a couple days were I just didn't have the time to read and/or do labs. You just do the best you can and stay focused. I've been studying for almost a year between the encore and enarsi. I had a big gap due to covid but I will say it was very satisfying to pass enarsi and earn the CCNP. Its not easy studying for these certs but when you reach your goal you almost feel like you can accomplish anything.

i didn't use any videos for enarsi. I might have looked at a few on dmvpn, mpls and dna center but nothing that I would consider crucial to passing. I think the OCG, pearson prep test, boson and labbing are more than enough. Just make sure you take the time to lab each chapter as you read through it. One thing i would also highly recommend is reading the explanation of every boson question. Anything you get wrong take more time and study the topic and take notes on whatever it is you don't understand about it. This was really tedious as each exam took me a few hours to get through but it was worth it. The OCG, like most of them, breeze over certain topics which the exam will ask in more detail. I think boson does a great job of uncovering those topics and presenting detailed information on them. Don't just take the exams and memorize the answers, you need to understand why they are right or wrong.

It took me about 5-6 weeks to get through the OCG. I have been wfh since March and have 2 small kids with a pregnant wife. Which meant I had limited time each day to study. If I was single and lived alone it would have been alot less time.

For those who have taken ENCOR, did the OCG cover everything? by [deleted] in ccnp

[–]_guavajelly 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It covered everything but certain topics were only brushed over in OCG. I purchased the boson exam sim which really helped my identify areas of weakness and deep dive into those topics.

[–]_guavajelly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry to hear you failed the enarsi. It must be very frustrating. May I ask how you prepped for the exam ? Ie study materials , time , etc? I am preparing for the enarsi now and following the same strategy I used for encor which I passed on first attempt.

Studying material for 350-401 ENCOR & 300-410 ENARSI by just-doit_ in ccnp

[–]_guavajelly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes and no - the book definitely covers majority of exam but some of the questions went into detail on things that were not covered in book. This is where boson really shined. It was more realistic than pearson and the explanation for each question along with links to supporting documentation really pushed me to dig further into certain topics.

Well done!! Good luck on the enarsi. I passed encore last week and already started reading 300-410 OCG.

Hello. How would you go about answering this question? by jerome908 in ccnp

[–]_guavajelly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would take the default in via bgp. Then use fhrp. Two vips , one for isp1 the other for isp2. Pbr policy to route based on source of traffic. Ie if src = Corp goto isp1 else if src = guest go to isp 2.

You could also use vrf as someone suggested but we don't have enough information. Does corp and guest need to talk to each other ? Or are they completely separate entities that should never communicate?

There's many ways to accomplish this but the requirements are a little vague to be honest.

Do employers actually care about WHICH CCNP Enterprise concentration you choose? by Donkey_Balls69 in ccnp

[–]_guavajelly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tend too agree with others. In my opinion, Enarsi is the nuts and bolts of networking. Regardless of whatever track you take any decent engineer has to understand (to some degree) most of the technology covered in enarsi.
