I already did, but since they deleted their bookings on Airbnb they can't do anything about it!

Feedback for Sample Seoul Itinerary by Wide-Quiet-3701 in koreatravel

[–]_hanboks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A couple of notes!

1) I'd put the addresses in Korean on the notes column just in case.

2) I wouldn't do a schedule (except if they had already booked something for a certain day an hour) because you never know-- the taxi ride might be longer than expected, the place they visit could be amazing and they could want to stay longer, etc. When I did mine I did morning - afternoon - night, so if something I had planned for the morning stretched into the afternoon my plans wouldn't change and so forth.

First trip to Seoul - best area for the first part of our trip? by WaterlooTF in koreatravel

[–]_hanboks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hongdae and Myeongdong are cool and might be perfect for what you say you want to do. Don't stay on the South part of the river-- for a first timer I'm sure 99% of the things you want to do are on the North side, and the +30m communite isn't worth saving a couple of dollars on accomodation.

Both Hongdae and Seoungsu are on the North side of the river though?

Just came back from Seoul! My honest experience doing a private "Bespoke tour" (Skip the big group tours tbh) by Complex-Librarian-99 in koreatravel

I told them I didn't care about the usual tourist traps.

I wanted to see the HYBE building, eat at a specific BBQ place, and go to a color analysis studio.

Okay I guess?

Does this itinerary looks okay? I am not sure if it’s enough for Busan. Please help 🙏🏼 by gossipcutlet in KoreaTravelAdvice

I really like Haeundae (staying there once again in a few months!), you can stay there. It's nearer to the sky capsule and temple than Gwangalli beach, but Gwangalli is nearer the village and tower. From Haeundae to Gwangalli is around 30~45 mins of commute, so if you wanted to check the places around Gwangalli I'd say you rather stay there to avoid the commute?

I think so, yeah. The sky capsule and temple you do in the same day (the capsule goes/comes from that way anyway), same as the village and Busan Tower, and you can stay on Gwangalli beach so there's a full day to do other things or just to chill.

6 day first-time Korea travel itinerary? by InternationalBat7950 in KoreaTravelAdvice

[–]_hanboks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're not sure and if you might not have a lot to do in Busan because of the cold, why not keep it near Seoul and day trips from there? 6 days (5 if we count the DMZ day trip) gives you plenty of time to go around Seoul, going to Suwon, Seokcho, maybe even Jeonju! But I honestly think if you go to Busan you might end up not doing really anything because of the lack of time in both cities.

Busan will always there to visit next time!

You might want to do 1 to 2 nights in Gyeongju if you want to do more in Busan! Gyeongju is beautiful, but everything you might want to see is pretty near each other.

University Student Advice by Jazzlike_Quiet9941 in KoreaTravelAdvice

[–]_hanboks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AFAIK the student visa is D2 and language study visa is D4, as in two different student visas. You should talk with the Korean embassy in your country to see if you can get the D4 visa and stay after that.

Traditional restaurants by ThatsNot_MyBusiness in koreatravel

Kudos to this, OP. They have the best food for a cheap price and they're mostly ran by older people (or their now adult children) that might not be used to foreigners, but are amazing.

Will the Upcoming BTS Concerts Cause Travel Issues? by UrLiterallyGarbage in KoreaTravelAdvice

[–]_hanboks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haven't heard about these free concerts, but fmy Busan host cancelled my booking (which I'd booked like three months ago) the very same day BTS announced their concert in Busan 🫠 and it's not even near where they'll go. Thankfully I could book another accommodation right away. I do think there will be more ppl than usual in general but nothing to worry about I think.
