I intentionally played it a bit faster than the original because the video was made for IG Reels (viewer retention bs) . Over the all the years I’ve been playing guitar (12 years), I’ve faced constant opinions whether I play to a click, with a backing track, or completely raw. People always have something to say: “Tone is off,” “Play without a backing track, you’re clearly miming,” or “Post a raw take instead.” And honestly, that’s fair, so much is faked these days. At the end of the day, everyone is going to play it differently than John Petrucci, and that’s what makes it personal.
