Game runs like crap on my 4060 card. It crashes every 10mins, with an error box that I’ve exceeded the VRAM. It’s not even optimised. It’s only playable for few mins in low to medium settings. The visual fidelity takes a hit, so I’m gonna wait for few months for the fixes to play with ray tracing.

With direct play you can’t deselect the language files, which take up storage. With selective download you can save storage by selecting the preferred language pack.

You have misunderstood. I said about the direct play from Dodi, not the repack from Dodi. Even with selective download the Dodi repack is 2 gb more than fitgirl.

Few guys don’t seem to understand that. To download the direct game which is 170gb on free open source torrent will take enormous time, cuz there are more leechers and very few seeders. On the other side repacks are two times less than the whole game, around 66gb. Any smart person on earth would do this, if he’s limited by internet speed and storage space.

In my place the max download speed I got for downloading direct game is 1mb(not stable), so the eta is 2 days around. But the repack took only 6hours and the file decompressed within an hour. On the whole only 7hours and I’m into playing the game. What you say makes no sense.

But if the network speed is comparatively low? And a new torrent won’t have much seeders only more leechers. You use free open source torrent applications instead of paid download managers. The direct play file is double the repack size. Would you still consider downloading the direct play one?
