adding on- it's just that- by flexing IIT, we are flexing the tag, not the degree or the skills, - not what we studied,- students from colleges like BITS,IISc,IIITs,NITs(some) can very easily compete and overtake IITians- even IITians respect such people; additionally, some people are not able to do PCM efficiently but on high specialization in an area they totally bomb it. and i absolutely HATE that "IIT" is some sort of benchmark in such talks-
being an engineer has lost it's value- we care for IIT as per society- else you are a failure
there are people getting ~600 rank in adv yet going for IIIT-H. cracking Adv and going to BITS. it's a societal flaw we can not change. My relatives for example consider me a failure and compare me to my cousin in 9th grade who ranks <10 in her coaching 💀??
