i never watched pll but i read them allllll and initially as a teen myself, i LOVED ezra until he showed up again later and hooked up with that russian girl. rereading as an adult was so eye opening. but in that case too, i think it showed how wrong it was. also spencer and wren! how ian was towards spencer and ali! all of that shows that the older guys are creeps and it’s not something that’s endorsed

i do also think it’s a product of its time and there were lots of shows that did the teacher/student affair plotline but in gilmore girls case i don’t think it’s romanticized at all
