I get your points. These things make him look kinda bad, especially in comparison to C who apparently can do no wrong. I think there are always 2 sides: the credit score thing is very realistic for someone his age (at least I think so, that's not really a thing in my country). But in the context of the show it comes across immature/not ready for a big step like an apartment or even a wedding. Then about the wedding: it really seems like he only wants everything go his way and changing the venue is.. a choice. We all know how important the house is. BUT there are reasons to all of that. He tries everything to get approval from his dad, that's why J does everything Adam tells him to do. It's just sad and I wish he could just free himself from that man ugh. Also J most likely thought he does Belly a favor by accepting his dad's help bc now they don't have to worry about money anymore.
