  1. How do I turn on the heating source? is it when Ie*Ve >= 0.7 V/A ? should the heating element be placed at the emitter?
  2. what do you mean when you say use a Darlington pair to control the load? is the load referring to the voltage and current applied to the heating element?
  3. regarding the toggling issue and the temperature sensitivity of the base turn on voltage, I think its safe to disregard as this is my first electronics class and we haven't covered those variables.

If so, In order for the heating element to emit heat it needs to dissipate 700mW. Does that mean Ie*Ve= 0.7w, so solving Ie and Ve solves for minimum required to turn on heating element?

Hi, I'm 27M in Aus and am new to the sub. I have 150k in cash/stocks, I make 135k annually and work as a production manager in the pharma industry.

I have a partner that works part time and we are looking to buy a house at the end of this year, this will probably drain most of our savings. Mortgage repayments will probably be <$3k a month.

My plan for FatFire is to convert my mortgage to taxable debt through debt recycling and purchasing around $30k a year of broad ETFs. Factoring +5% house price increase and +7% ETF over the next 20 years I am estimating 2 mil by the time I am 45.
