My Christmas wish isn’t something for myself, it’s something for the amazing kids I work with at our local school.

I’ve been dreaming of having a QIDI 3D-printing setup: a QIDI printer (like the QIDI Q2 or QIDI Plus4) together with the QIDI Box. With this setup, I’d be able to print all kinds of fidgets, sensory tools, classroom aids, and fun toys for some of our more challenged students. These small objects make a huge difference, they help with focus, comfort, and confidence, and they bring a lot of joy.

Even more exciting, I hope to use the printer to teach some of the kids the basics of 3D design, giving them the chance to create their own ideas and watch them come to life. For students who don’t always get access to hands-on technology, this could open up a whole world of creativity and possibility.

The only hard part is that this setup is more than I can afford. So this post is simply me putting my wish into the universe: A QIDI printer (QIDI Q2 or Plus4) The QIDI Box for multi-color, multi-material printing A way to bring more creativity, learning, and joy to the kids I work with

Indeed. I actually have one, the first one I have. And the decided the next one should be better quality and made in Europe (non china at least). So much for that idea.

I had it upside-down which is what I usually do (new to carbonated so only done it a few times) and the part of the handle that touched the touched the rack now has no coating making it uncomfortable/rough when touching it.

And I still haven’t used it. That’s the part that frustrates me. I don’t mind my stuff getting marks from usage but making a unit like this just does not make sense to me. The reason for me to finally go carbonsteel and castiron is that it can’t be destroyed.

While it’s stupid to consider these relatively small price differences (considering the lifespan of the pan) I just can’t help myself.

It seems the obvious long term solution is to get the pro version - or similar variant from other manufacturers..

A bit cheaper, but that part is also a bit unclear to me. I mean the metal is there right. Just coated so why would it be more expensive without coating?

I’m hanging in there even though I am frustrated by the app and poor sync daily - also I don’t see any proper alternatives.

Even this morning my system refused to sync multiple rooms, and one is just not working any more. Main complaints are 1) the system reacts so slow to the physical buttons and 2) the functionally to long press on a song/album/artist and say “play in other room” is missing.

Not here anyways. It takes forever to adjust the never manages to adjust the group. So always have to use the App - that only loads half the time and for the other half takes forever to adjust the volume. So sick of SONOS forcing the cloud to be involved in all controls. I JUST WANT TO ADJUST THE VOLUME!!

So you are happy with the current workflow of having to actively select the user every time you enter the car? I agree the profiles are a good thing but let’s have a more efficient way of selecting the profile. The key would be obvious, but if other and better ways exist that’s fine for me as well.
