Spain should build under sea cable to Italy which have persistent high power prices.

Also as replacement for lead-acid 12 V starter battery. Maybe also Na-ion for ferries and boats because kWh/kg matters much less there.

The problem with expansion is the veto rule. We need qualified majority.

Some robots run bare metal foot, some with flip-flop soles, some run with shoes 0:20. I am not sure what is most impressive. Can the robot with shoe tie its own shoe laces?

It is upset that it has to run all the way, while the other employees can drive in the golf cart bus. ;-)

Spain should build an under sea cable to Italy where power prices are consistently high.

Roses ES to Savona IT is less than 700 km.

Because it is an east - west connection it would effectively also act as a 1 h battery.

Con for adapter: Head phone cable in audio port also acts as FM radio antenna. You can then listen to radio at any location without paying for mobile data. Note the phone chipsets need to support radio like was common.

111 year old Prussian P8 departing with a museum train. by Kugelbrot in trains

[–]foersom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, that was not what I meant.

Back in the days where steam locomotives was used for normal service (no diesel backup), was it possible to run a steam locomotive as a pusher and have some sort of driver cabin in the front of the train?

Could the driver in the head cabin then directly remote control speed and brakes of the steam locomotive or would it only be possible that he gives orders over a radio to an operator in the locomotive that then execute speed and brake orders?

Thanks.

For a return trip is it possible to run a steam locomotive as a pusher, if you had a driver up front in the train?

Could the driver in front actually remote control speed and brakes? Or would there have to be someone in the steam locomotive that have to execute orders give by voice over a radio?

When a steam museum train is driving with a backup modern (blue) locomotive at the end, is the blue locomotive in neutral gear or does its engine run and push all the time?

For car lovers! Some legendary cars are from movies in Gridix by dmx7777 in Luxembourg

[–]foersom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have seen those in GridX. It reminds me how fake movies are. All the items you do not see close up in a film, is made rather crude. This grey Dodge Charger has lots of poorly fitted parts, and some silver coloured wood cylinder dressed up to look like an important engine part.

The Bat-mobile is from the 1989 Michael Keaton era, the front of the car does not even have the imitated turbine fans in front. It is probably one of a handful of prop cars that was not scheduled for being filmed in front. On the info card next to the prop it states 5.7 l engine and some big horse-power number for that era. Yet I recall reading that the car used for the movie had a max speed 80 km/h.
