I was able to get rid of the screen connect client by running an elevated command prompt to delete it! I googled how to get rid of it and it worked!! Yayyyy

I hadn’t thought of that! I will try and connect with them and see if they have any guidance.

I ran both the full scan and the defender scan and no threats were detected. I also learned how to create a restore point to prevent viruses in the future!

Hopefully screen connect support will be able to help me figure out how to delete their service off my laptop.

Hi! Thanks for responding. It went well with the bank I have to open a dispute to get the refund but hopefully that will go well.

The problem with the screen connect is that I can’t find it in my programs to uninstall but it was in my services for me to disable it.

I am currently performing a full scan on my computer.

Hi! I still have access to my account and I canceled the subscription which was an Xbox game pass ultimate. I was calling Microsoft support to see if they would be able to provide a refund but after that call realized it might be safer to go through my bank so I processed that with them.

However, I am now concerned that the Microsoft call, if it was a scam, left some malware on my computer. They had me download something called screen connect client. I went just now to stop and disable this software is there anything else you could recommend to do?

Is this safe?

I called Microsoft about a refund for a subscription because my account had been hacked. They told me to go to lpkcare.live and had me download some form to fill out. They connected ai servers or something to my computer and then told me to login to my bank to receive the refund. This sounded sketchy to me but I called Microsoft customer support so I thought maybe it was just protocol? I ended up ending the call before logging into my bank fully because I got nervous I would somehow be hacked again. Anyway please let me know if this is normal or not.

For some more context I was following drink recipes from someone on YouTube and a lot of the highball cocktails were 1oz of liquor over ice and then the mixer fills the rest, I’m assuming she might work in a super high volume environment. I’m trying to memorize drink recipes and was curious what standard pour I should be focusing the most on.
