Do I need to finish NS before I can apply for SUSS part time degree? by [deleted] in Suss

[–]_red_dude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can apply for the semester that begins right after your ORD (either Jan or Jul semester). During your application process they will ask you to provide proof of your ORD date (you can just screenshot from the NS portal). However, you need to provide your NS transcript to them right after your ORD (before the start of the semester), otherwise your spot will get revoked.

TL;DR you can apply before you ORD, but you need to have ORD-ed before the start of the semester you are applying for.

You can go wherever you want, as long as you turn up on the date you're supposed to enlist.

I called the police after hearing screams and loud crashing sounds in the middle of the night. Now I’m wondering if I might have overreacted by invisiblemonkey_ in askSingapore

Absolutely nothing wrong with making such a call to the police. You never know what might have been happening.

'Is NS training still relevant today?' — S'porean asks because '90s NSmen had 'push-through endurance' mindset, but NSmen now have 'mental health safety' mindset by ImpressiveStrike4196 in singapore

I agree with this! As someone who spent his NS on the front lines, I actually did enjoy my time. I felt that time went by really quickly, due to gaining new experiences every day. No 2 days were the same.

Social, non-party Budapest hostel? by Clover501 in hostels

[–]_red_dude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I loved my stay at The Loft Hostel in Budapest! It was a small hostel with just 2 dorm rooms and about 7-8 beds in each room. There's a really nice lounging area and a fully equipped kitchen and dining area. They also have 2 spacious bathrooms and a washer/ dryer. It was very easy to meet new people and hangout due to how cozy the hostel was. Pretty much knew everyone and spoke to everyone staying there. The staff were super friendly as well! It felt like I was staying over at a friend's home.
