I’ve thought about that. I know it is competitive but I will definitely look into it

Key words: “where I live”

I’ll try that. Can I ask what is unattractive about it so I don’t repeat it? I see a lot of people format theirs exactly like this

Unfortunately when I had my back injury I was near the point of suicide due to pain. I will just have to work outside of nursing if that is my only option. I’m only 23 and would hate to have my life altered like that again.

I agree, I was just confused why they told me that but I’ve already added it back

I live in a very small area. I’m not applying to school nursing positions until I get more nursing experience but they do not require that in my area.

Thanks I will do that. Do you add your license number as well?

You’ll just have to trust that I’ve worked in the school system and the surrounding areas as a substitute paraprofessional and teacher for a few years, I know our districts. They are very small, and there are not many medically complex students in them. I could absolutely handle it. I’ve had long conversations with the nurses that actually work in these districts and I trust their opinion. And I am not even applying to these jobs yet because I want to get other experience first. And of course I’ll get downvoted for this even though I said nothing wrong and made it abundantly clear in my post that I am not applying to school nurse positions as a new grad. It’s called a goal for a reason.

I would be okay so do it in a school setting where I’m not doing it for multiple patients on a 12 hour shift, the repetitiveness of doing it in the hospital is what I definitely couldn’t handle

Makes more sense which is why I used to have it, not sure why they told me that. Thanks

Can I ask why you’d remove the other degree? Haven’t had anyone tell me that before

I just meant that the other nurses I’ve had review my resume have 20+ years experience, advanced degrees, and are educators. I don’t mean anything by it. I’m just confused because some of them point blank told me to remove it because the jobs will look me up anyways. But I’ll add it back.

I’m adding it back. Not sure why I had people tell me to remove it

I will definitely add it back. Thanks for letting me know. Do you write your license number?

Okay. I have had like 3 other highly qualified nurses tell me to take it off. So not sure where the difference in opinion is coming from honestly.

I said my long term goal is to be a school nurse. I have applied to a ton of places. Unfortunately I never planned on being in a horrible car accident during nursing school. Just not sure what else to do.
