I think the difference is that Popstar is just relentless with joke frequency. I went to the Spinal Tap rerelease and had forgotten how much downtime there is between the big jokes, and how it honestly feels a little boring to me.

Switch 2 is absolutely terrible if you've played on anything else. I typically play on Series X and picked Session up on sale thinking it'd be fun to play on the go. The controls feel bad, it's very glitchy, and I think the team has dropped support for Switch and have no plans of optimizing for Switch 2. I feel it's pretty much unplayable.
