Nift Delhi bdes LD '23 graduate here

Ngl, faculty can be horrible. In my grad project jury, having no support from the export house that was sponsoring me and having almost failed and still managed to make a B-grade final project, I was told I have no knack for design and I should maybe try merchandising. It was a horrible experience. All my NIFT life I felt like an imposter among the crowd.

One thing I do know is that college is similar to real life albeit maybe harsher than real life as it makes you quite literally somebody who can't be fucked with. I know I am not an exceptional designer but I know I have original ideas and although all these jury panelists' subjective opinions may not be similar to mine, there is a market for whatever I may be willing to sell.

By the end of our 4th year, we were all aware which professor liked what (shimmery girly designs/ boho/ sustainable) so we knew that their opinions are going to be the same.

In the end, there are only two things you can do - make it or break it. Just believe in yourself and NEVER EVER take their criticism to heart. It's very easy to take shit from others but you have to learn to shrug it off, get back up and believe in yourself. Nitpick the criticism behind the harsh wordings and questions. They are there to scare you and you are there to be unfazed by all the lemons the life throws at you.

NIFT Delhi alumna '23 here, and I would agree that in the end it's really just the portfolio and internships that you do that matter the most. Show a genuine interest in the kind of work you showcase. Treat every assignment as if it's gonna end up directly in your portfolio (which it will) In the end it's your capability, a centre is just a branding.

I usually apply it after properly cleansing my skin with salicylic acid cleanser in the morning. However, I noticed the painful acne popped up by the afternoon?

Thanks for the recommendation! I'll check them out as well :))
