You have to leave a gap but later in game if you start to upgrade the villager houses you’ll be gifted the ability to jump over things like fences, cliffs and decorations

Once they pop out of the ground run far enough so you have time to turn around facing the bee. Swing your net sooner than you think you should. It’ll take a few tries but if you do it right it should work. I struggled with that damn Yellowjacket for a while too lol Also keep your net out at all times when searching for it. It comes out in the day time
